Very watchable and pleasant. You captured the essence of our state

Glad you enjoyed it. We loved Maine ..... except for the fog and pots!

I have noticed that on your travels you often pick up vacant mooring balls, tell me what have you found to be the protocol of using moorings to be, randomly pick up an empty mooring ball until someone tells you to bugger off or is it more a formal arrangement with local yacht clubs? Really enjoy your channel my friend.

I did the New England area during 09/2018 to 10/2018 by car. I'm planning to do it by boat in a few years.

Top quality. If you could show more of a feel for Ports of Call, i.e. industry, happenings, that be better but your doing good job.

Thanks for the observation. The weather was not great in these ports. As we get further south, we will certainly be showing much more of the onshore side.

Also, i feel your sailing footage is second to none. thx.

How do you get your moorings in bar harbor ? do you call ahead to see if they got transient moorings? Also what was the rate they gave you? I'm thinking of heading up there. Thanks for the great videos.!!!
@SailCloudyBay6 жыл бұрын
Yes, we called on VHF as we were in range and they had a few moorings left. But we also could have anchored no problem. Rate was $40 per night. One issue we have had with moorings is our size. They often say they dont have any suitable for 54ft, either due to buoy spacing or weight of the block on the seabed. Up to 45ft seems no issue.

Glen used to live in St.John's for 4 years (2003-7) and loved the island. Had a Contessa 32 based in RNYC there and cruised the north coast one summer. Indeed chilly. We used to think of Nova Scotia as the tropics! Much too chilly for Oana though :)

I agree, you two rock. If you could put a bit more into your metadata the channel would grow a lot more
@SailCloudyBay6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your advise on this. Oana has now started to look into this metadata science! It seem to be quite a subject to learn. Thanks again.

Hello! Do you have any review of your boat, I cant find it. And is it possible for you to make a video about refit more detailed? Thank you.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, we have had a few requests for this. We will try to do this ... if we ever manage to catch up on our travel videos :-)
