Nema14 with the 10 tooth gear was originally made by ldo at the request of the maker of the orbiter for that extruder. Once that motor existed the sherpa and all the other designs started using it. Even the bondtech lgx lite now uses it. I kinda love the story of this motor because it is such a succes story for the interaction of open source hardware and commercial hardware. Love the design you made btw.

This is nice! Thanks for the STLs I might hack this up to my Ender 3 in case of a DD conversion.

Really nice light weight design. I have also seen you made an elongated hole for the motor mount =) I think I will remix this one and simply replace the 2nd gear with an idler, really nice design.

Hello, so Your remix is different except mountiong for ratrig from original one? Is it possible to do carriage for ultimaker 2 clone with hextrudort or this one? Cheers
@mikey6312 жыл бұрын
yes, my remix is for the EVA 2 carriage system, which is used on ratrig printers. I'm not familiar with the carriage system that Ultimakers use though. It may be harder to adapt for those printers, but I think if you start with a BMG mod, you can modify for ultimaker.

@@mikey631 thanks for reply, do You have any discord Group btw? It could be hard for ultimaker, because mount for bmg is holding bmg and motor together, all the rest bmg remixes, and other lgx and better extruders are using eva or other systems.

Which perform better? This or hextrudort?
@mikey6312 жыл бұрын
They both use the same parts and are very similar to each other, and would perform the same. The sailfin might be a tad lighter, but the difference is probably negligible

whats the brand of that inductive probe that you are using ??
@mikey6312 жыл бұрын
that is the EZABL Pro from TH3D. I had first used this probe on my old CR-10 a couple of years ago, and it might be the only part left over from that printer :)

@@mikey631 I am looking for a probe for my vcore3 which i am planning on enclosing with heated chamber, i am using an inductive probe but that wont work beyond 50C. Looking at PINDAv2 but it seems like temp compensation doesnt work with klipper for that. The only option i am left with is a optical or physical probe
