Really like that you show not just sunny fair-weather sailing like every one else but also the squalls and the not so good weather!

Great shots of some spirited no-hands, well-balanced sailing, assisted by the Monitor. Nice job burying/washing off the toe-rail, Rhys! You guys are my kind of sailors, and I thank you for your entertaining videos. Rob M. has suggested the cure for your pole, I believe. Best,,,John

8:45 Must make you a little bit homesick, hearing the traffic sounds of Cork like that :D A little like the Wilton roundabout during rush hour!

For connecting fittings to aluminum mast or poles use monel rivets , not aluminum ones, a dab of Duralac past helps to prevent corrosion.

Living now what you were chasing, congrat's Rhys! 👍 Your sails look good trimmed, have you noticed a significant sailing difference with the change in rig geometry and are you back in Ireland for several months working?

Its so different man! A way better boat. Almost never suffers from weathermen unless I'm really pushing her too hard. Under genoa alone she steers so well under the windvane and with a little too much main she rounds up, but once I set her up she's awesome

Your boat seems very tender (heels easily) are you fully ballasted????? - (degree in Naval architecture and marine engineering -- many many years ago)
@SailingYachtZora3 жыл бұрын
1st reef at around 16 to 17 knots and 2 reefs at 25 and over. That's pretty normal, with a 15 degree heel. What clip gives you that thought?

There have been reports of Orcas attacking sail boats on the Portugal coast. keep an eye out and be safe.

Is it my imagination or does the boat need more ballast?

@@SailingYachtZora It seems quick to "heel" in not that much sea.
