Thanks Dana! We believe in quality over quantity, and although we would LOVE to produce more content we put a lot of time behind not only the projects but the filming and editing itself. Not to mention we both work full time and Chris is a professional cinematographer so getting him to edit for “fun” after a big shoot can sometimes be like pulling teeth 😂 we appreciate the kind words and can’t wait to share more soon

THANK YOU ALL for your patience as we did our best to finish this video. Chris's laptop died suddenly so we decided to upgrade to the M1 Mini and monitor that colorists use since, well, Chris needed it for work anyways. In addition to the minor computer crisis, we have also been busy working on our boat and others while managing our respective businesses to "fund the dream"... We look forward to more sailing soon, and can't wait to share some exciting news with you all! Stay tuned :)

Nice work !! Motivating me to fully refit too. I just have a few questions as your excellent video has me thinking about my 1978 Pearson 35 project. What type or brand of refrigerator/freezer system was originally installed ? Does your compressor run much less now through the day ? What type of hinges are installed on the door, allowing the insulated door plug to open and close? That's some really nice craftsmanship. Again, excellent work and thank you for sharing this project !!
@sailingavocet3 ай бұрын
Ahoy Don! We had a Seafrost air cooled compressor, but we recently upgraded to an Isotherm keel-cooled compressor and evaporator which works better here in warmer climates (Mexico). It runs a lot less now! The hinges were found in a marine consignment shop, and are just marine fridge hinges. We write about the project more here: www.svavocet.com/2021/04/28/building-a-marine-fridge/

I use that pink foam to build rc airplanes. Honestly, the easiest way to cut it is with a hacksaw blade, not on the holder. Also, those cheap snap off razor blade knives, with a straight edge. Cut with an extreme angle, and you get super clean cuts. Usually takes a couple of passes. And elmers or titebond woodglue works great.
