Sailing from Norway to Shetland 2018

I have a 26 foot sailboat that has poor sailing performance. I'd like to upgrade to a much bigger boat with much better performance. Can you comment on the 44.7's performance relative to other boats that you've sailed on? Will the 44.7 easily do 8-9 knots or is it a stretch for it? Thanks.

I have only sailed this boat on this trip. On the sail from Bergen to Shetland we had winds of around 30 knots and I believe we sailed 9-10 knots and on the return trip when we had winds of around 10-12 knots we sailed around 8+ knots. The owner uses the boat for racing/regatta so it had good sails and good trimming. It was a lot faster than my own Hallberg-Rassy 26😉
