Actually I wasn't sure if dudeng was a Chamorro word for a certain type / design of canoe or if it meant something else. There are so many names in different Pacific island languages for canoes I don't know them all. I am always learning / discovering new ones. Fortunately I found a 10 page pdf file on guampedia of Chamorro Seafaring Lexicon, that defined 'dudeng' as a medium sized outrigger canoe. I only recently discovered the name sakman name a few weeks ago. Is there a website with more information about "Gadi"? Where and how built, dimensions, builder's name, etc.? Last time I was in Guam was 40 years ago. Canoes like this were not being built then, not that I was aware of. Would love to visit Guam again and see them and meet the people building and sailing them in person.
