New Zealand's Northland coastline is a truly beautiful cruising ground. Thanks for sharing. Great to hear 'White Light' (and Emma's backing vocals too). Hopefully, we'll get to see some of Tasmania, when you guys eventually return? I've visited in the past and it reminded me a lot of our South Island. Looking forward to further South Pacific adventure aboard, SV Norla.

Thank you again for your really lovely feedback. We agree wholeheartedly - Northland is amazing!! Next week features incredible Whangaroa. You’ll definitely see a lot of Tassie down the track for sure as we’ll head home for the summer. Great that you’ve been there, as not many people have 😊. In Fiji now and loving our first taste of this beautiful country 😊

Lovely video. We've just found you on KZbin. Looking forward to your trip to Tonga. It would be good to catch up again

Hey John thanks for watching 🙏. Tonga a few weeks away yet but we have a lot of good footage. Yes, be lovely to cross paths again. We’re in the northern Lau group now😊

@@SailingNorla We're in the central Yasawas atm. We have been hanging out with Erin Bomati and her partner Bruno and their two lovely teenage kids. We've had the odd scary moment with reefs and bommies but otherwise wonderful cruising. I hope you are using satellites on OpenCPN. Navionics is frequently wildly incorrect. As someone said to us Fiji takes reefs to another level after Tonga.

@johnwaugh6518 that’s great. We just had a very close encounter with a whale. So cool. Reckon we’ll stick around the Lau group for a few weeks and then head over your way. Let’s keep in touch. Be great to see you both again and we owe you a dinner 😊 Thank you for the navionics heads up. We do have open cpn and we’ll be sure to take extra care 👍

Did you guys have any idea NZ was so beautiful before you set off from Oz? What made you decide to come here? as a cruising ground?

We’ve both always wanted to visit NZ and seeing it was just a quick hop across the ditch (ha ha) we thought it would be the perfect place to begin our cruising adventures, and it certainly was!! Challenging sailing, yes, but so worth it. We already want to return 😊
