Looks serene! With the depth going in, 3m is plenty - here on the east coast anything above 2 is a luxury!!!

You should've given the guy swimming a mask and snorkel and asked him to clean transducer..😂😂

if you are still having issues with the log wheel you can push the pin that holds the wheel on out and give the pin a light rub down to remove any build up, i had same issues and the wheel was freely rotating out of the water but would start to stick when back in place, so far no more issues with it unless its weeds, keep up the good videos and happy sailing.

At least you got the log working, otherwise it would have been the old way with an actual log, same with the soundings and a lead line. Presume you have onboard as a back up, along with an Admiralty Chart for the region, pencils, dividers and a parallel rule, not forgetting a rubber, we are too reliant on technology now and if it fails one does not want to be 'up a creek without a paddle'. If a big ship can have a total electrical failure including the back up systems and demolish half a bridge, so can you but hopefully not hitting anything.

Great vid, very useful with the transducer, I need to check mine while she's on the hard, I did wonder what the additional back thing was so very handy seeing this :)

£2.50 for a bag of mussels sounds like a bargain to me. I like to do mussels by replacing the water with white wine and adding about half a bottle of Loyd Grossman Tomato & Roasted Garlic Sauce or Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce into a large pot with a lid. Bring the liquid to a simmer to boil off the alcohol. Next, add the mussels in batches, as they only take a few minutes to cook. You'll find that the last batch will be the tastiest since more juice from the mussels will have been added to the sauce. If you have garlic bread, it’s perfect for soaking up the delicious juices!

Good decision to skip breakfast and enjoy an awesome sail! Btw, isn't it time for a haul-out or don't you do that every year?
@sailingmadness3 сағат бұрын
I did the anti-foul at the start of the year and used paint that’s good for 2yrs, so I’ll haul out at the end of 2025. 👍

Brilliant video. What is the name of the chart app you use which isn’t navionics? Thanks
@sailingmadness3 сағат бұрын
They’re the Antares Charts, highly recommended for sailing around Scotland… www.antarescharts.co.uk

Should do it all in big pan with a glass of white wine, no water, keep the soup to dip some good crusty bread😊

Exactly, and also start with a finely chopped shallot onion and add chopped fresh parsley and Bob’s your uncle 🤤😋

Thank you! No one won as the other yacht ended up going in another direction. 😃
