Guys thanks so much for a brilliant show I’m stuck in a Marina going nowhere and i savoured every second of that, so don’t feel bad about the cold and sleepless hours, it was worth it. Simply the best show on utube by a nautical mile !

At the 22 minute mark, the house is designed by Buckminister Fuller. It is a geodesic dome. It covers the largest area with the least amount of material. Kind of like in Harry Potter, the tent is small and you go inside and its huge. It will really trick your mind when you go inside. It also is wind resistant as the wind just moves around it without obstruction. I just love hearing Brandy when the water puppies show up. Every time. I really needed this happy video as this past Friday we had to put our furbaby Zoe down due to heart failure. Both Ken and I are feeling lonely. I know it will pass as tincture of time heals the heart.

Solar engineer here: easy way to gut check your panels is to check VOC and ISC with a multi meter. Basically, measure voltage with the panel disconnected, then measure current through the multimeter from just that panel. Having 2 panels, check them both at the same time and facing same directions. That removes the impact of clouds, panel age, etc. If close withing 20%, panels probably all ok.

My boat is too tall for the ICW. But if I could, I think I would anchor every night. Maneuvering in the limited space of the ICW can be a pain in the dark. Plus sailing non-stop is really tiring, especially for just 2 people.

Can you put the generator in the dinghy and let it trail behind aways? I’ve been wondering. And perhaps a board covering the Gen but angle low at front and high at back to deflect noise. The other thing that intrigues me is that I haven’t seen anyone yet talk about having a 12 volt pump in their dinghies to pump it out during rain. ICW does look like a slow but beautiful adventure all of its own.
