Lovely video - really enjoyed that - we own a boat called Cyclops and will be in Haslar over the summer a few times. Great facilities and we love it there for access out into the solent - Home marina is Northey Marina in chichester harbour. Enjoy

Thank you! Yes that’s John, he’s the best neighbouring Dock Boy we could ever have hoped for! We’re very lucky with boats, we bought a river boat a couple of years ago and, like a gateway drug, it has lured us onto this... We should have started smaller and worked up to this but COVID has motivated us to get on and do stuff in a hurry. No regrets so far. We’ll look out for you on the pontoon!

Great video, love the format and the narration. New sailors ourselves anchoring at Osborne bay for the first time on sailboat was such an adventure. What is the name of your boat? We are at Ocean Marina Southampton, maybe we will see each other on our adventures? 🙂

Hi Darren, thanks for your kind words. Our boat is named after this channel. Or maybe the other way around…. Free Spirits II. It would be great to catch up, we’re having so much fun pretending we know what we’re doing!

@@FreeSpiritsII Now I feel a little stupid for not noticing! Lol 😀. Our yacht is a 51.1 Beneteau, grey hull called Dixie-Mae. We will be out most weekends over the summer. It would be great to compare notes with fellow beginners.

The Hovercraft uses less fuel than your M5!!!!

Cheeky! The hovercraft generates >2,000hp and whisks >12,000kg at 50 knots! They don't publish consumption figures, but I am guessing it is thirstier than a drained camel.
