I was there in 98. No beer anywhere. Solo depressed it was fogy and cold in march till 10 miles out if cabo. Then cabo was so nice.

We were well stocked on rum and beer, so no problems there. I was expecting it to warm up at Cedros but we didn’t really feel it warm up until a little further south

1973 we sailed with a lead line a compass sextant and universal time clock with proper books😅

1973 I trolled 3000 miles from San Francisco to Banderas bay .. 2 fish really bad fisherman!!😂

Yeah - we needed better gear. Both the cedar plug and lure we set out broke off. Probably would have had a couple of monsters with stronger line.

what have you figured about the vhf?

Luckily the issue was on a patch cable down below and not at the top of the mast. Easy fix once I found it and we now have a spare antenna on deck

Run a cedar plug at differnt depths 30 to 50 ft deep , tuna in water theyll find it . Best lure i. Pacific 5 yr tuna fisher . Landed 54 tuna in 30 mins best hit 5 yrs outta worlds smalest harbor in wrld pnw DEPOE BAY

Rt on Keeldragger, just rec offer on my sticks n bricks niw go all out 40 to 50 ft turnkey or gamble on a 20 k n drop 10 k , budget 50 k 30 k on boat . 20k for emergency fund , 2 grand a month sailing expense. Have 200k to find a pice of properties durring my retirement sailing tour. 🎉
