Sailing Wild Atlantic Coast of Ireland Ep 74

Seeing more of Ireland from the sea, having great weather at start with very little wind then increasing to give us a good sail as we cruise the coast and make landfall at Valentia Island.
We might not have the best film quality, but it is authentic.

Thinking that might have been ,''The Bull Rock'' and the Calf Rock off Dursey Island island on the Cork side, off, Kenmare Bay, the Sea Arch known as , The Bull Rock was meant to be a Portal to the Other world where your Spirit / Soul... would have to pass through on it's travels to the Other Side, well that's just according to the local folklore handed down, relating they say to those pagan Celtic times. Remember pulling my car into the side of the road to watch the Sun Set, then seeing the evening sun setting behind same and a flash of light came down the that Sea Arch, lighting up the bay like some one shining a Torch through same, , as the sun appeared to drop into the sea on the horizon, looking like ever so slowly dropped off a Cliff, really Great Upload people.

Just bought my very first wee yacht, a Snapdragon 26, to go enjoy exactly these kind of amazing adventures. First, I've a summer ahead working on her; getting her shipshape and cosy within. Next summer, I'll be away, around the coast of Ireland and beyond.

well I got it from Jimmy Stewarts Lindberg movie and you can see him fly straight over it in the movie. Stuart was a pilot and I guess he wouldn't lie for the movie. Well it is Hollywood so maybe.@@bushpoint

It is nice to see you sailing in the summer, brings me hope - sitting here in Trondheim at -10c. Going to the Maldives soon - by plane. Wish IKEA could sell a flatpacked sailboat to bring along....

The jellyfish looks like a compass jelly with brown lines radiating out the umbrella. It's mildly stinging and rarely a problem.

What great drone shots. Very interesting that there are travel books for boating tourist people. I can just picture sitting on the boat reading, cooking, and looking forward to vigorous walks on shore. I don't know how things work but were your friends on the other boat mad at you for ditching them and arriving way before they got there ? I just love seeing how life is on your little boat. thanks again.

Thank you very much! In the sailing world the guide books are called "Cruising guides" and if you add Lonely planet you're covered. We all sail at different speed and to have friends arriving before you to prepare drinks and food is appreciated and so far nobody has complained :-)
