So you are those guys going with the Diesel when there is good wind for sailing. Cyclades always clockwise.

Gotta keep the vessel clean, especially with the Meltemi blowing dust everywhere. 👍

I’m surprised you didn’t do a story on Kleftiko on the SW side of Milos. It would have been protected from the northerlies. Another place to visit if you hired a car or sailed, also on the southern side, towards the east is Paliohori. Just in front of the restaurant Sirocco is a thermal abnormally where they cook lamb/goat in the ground. You need footwear to also transverse across the sand to the waters edge it is that hot.

There are so many islands that we visited that we just didn't have the time to explore properly. Next time we pass through the Aegean we'll do a bit more off the beaten track exploring. 😀

It certainly is and today we're buggering off to Poros, to a calmer anchorage.

Thank you so much for sharing your wounderful videos, I really enjoy them and learn in each episode. I have a question for you... Is it a Hanse 575 sailing yacht (17 meters) so big to be handled for a couple, or in an extreme situation to be handled for one person in the case the other one having any health problems. I really will appreciate your answer. Have a nice sailing time guys!!!
@SailingABSea5 жыл бұрын
From what we've experienced so far a 56 foot yacht might be too much for a crew of two and when I use the word crew I mean two very confident fit and healthy persons. I certainly would not want to handle it solo. Let us know what you do eventually buy. Cheers.👍

Thank very much your answer! I thought something similar... The fact is in advertising matter, the shipyards promise things that in the practice are very difficult to fullfil... I will comment you my decision...Thanks so much again, and good luck!

Just wondering if the drone is still working, you previously had some really great drone shots from your anchor points. Looks like your fun times are still happening Thanks for sharing
@SailingABSea5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mr G, drone is out of action for some time now. A small plastic part that stabilises the camera gimbal snapped off. We have replacement parts making their way to us. Fun times are still happening but so are the never ending jobs. Woke up to a refrigeration issue this morning. Ahhh boat life. 🤔

A B Sea,- how nice of you to bring some sunshine into a rain full and windy morning up north. 88% out of how big of a battery bank? I dont remember. Fair winds ,,,/),,,,

Happy to be bringing you some sunshine Anders. We have 380 amp hours of battery power.👍

what dates are most recommended to sail in the Cyclades?
@SailingABSea4 жыл бұрын
Hi Benjamin, that depends on where you're starting from and where you're going to or whether it's a round trip charter. It also depends on what touristy things you plan to do. The water is quite cool when it's not summer, many islands will not have full facilities open too early and too late in the season. The prevailing wind is the Meltemi and it generally blows from the north and north east.

Hi Susan, we're glad that you're finding our videos fun. Thanks for following our journey. We will be spending the winter months in a small boat yard in the Evia Channel, Greece. Lots of work to be done to A B Sea. 👍

Somebody is really not trying hard enough if it took you 4 or 5 islands to get to first base! 😂

Aannsha & Barry, might have an answer to your auto pilot problem. Have a careful read of this which suggests an i70 can control an spx. The question is can it also control an 300 box? answer I don't know, but RM may. forum.raymarine.com/showthread.php?tid=9606

(Baz) Thanks for that Pete, I'll check it out later. Just putting another (metaphorical) fire out at the moment. All 3 house batteries have failed and need replacing. Luckily we are anchored at mainland Greece so it should be an easy replacement. It's never boring owning a boat. 😀
