Peter and Tom are gay sailors who learned to sail relatively recently in the San Francisco Bay, before casting off the lines to cruise Mexico and sail around the world!

So I travel to Baja in an old VW and have done the trip about 6 times. I was also a vegetarian but eating nothing but eggs, beans and rice on my first trip I decided to give fish a go, knowing that it was locally sourced. Been a pescatarian ever since, so long as I know where the fish has come from. I've also been to Ascuncion a number of times. Great little town and the best fish tacos in Baja.

The Baja HaHa race stops there and Bahia Santa Maria on the way to Cabo. What month did you sail down Baja.

We sailed down in January 2020. Past Turtle Bay it was nice and warm.

You did better that I did fishing on the outside of Baja, I caught nothing. In Biha Santa Maria I did trade four chocolate bars and two cokes for four lobsters. That is my kind of fishing.

How big must a sailboat must be ? For this journey. I've had this in my mind for a very long time!

We know of boats around 25-28ft who have sailed from California all the. way go Cabo San Lucas and up the Sea of Courtez. Picking a weather window would be critical! Our boat is 36ft.

Hahaha we should do an episode on that. There are two key parts... 1) Vent regularly and don't bottle anything up. 2) Find space to be alone on the boat and get your own time apart. 3) drink often 😉😅
