I'm quite taken by your serene and almost poetic videos, and filled by a lungful of fresh breezes. Best music on YT, from an era dearly missed. Only one knot? What's the hurry? You'll get there in your own time. Nice to see the well-kept Morris Minor. I feel like I've stepped back into the 50's, and that's perfectly fine. BTW, one need not be "religious," and yet still have faith. Enjoying your channel.

For being a non-religious person you seem to be drawn to and show reverence for the most beautiful of God's creations. The blessing of a beautiful wile and lately a precious son seems to me that God has a special plan for you. The descriptive drama you shared of the birth of your son and the resulting epiphany reveals to me God's grace. Greetings from Germany.

Calling it 'vegan bacon' sure makes shopping easy, however. Some of the meat alternatives look so much like the real thing that tossing 'vegan' or 'vegetarian' on there in big, bold letters is very helpful. When I first became vegetarian, I turned to those alternatives a lot because it took a while for me to 'unlearn' cooking as a meat eater... I didn't yet know how to cook vegetarian meals that were properly satisfying. Lovely video, guys. Hank looks great in those sunglasses! Just to add... on the topic of fishing for the table: research fishing the baited spoon for flounders, plaice, other flatfish and bass. Westcountry rivers are prime marks for the technique and it can be v. effective. Gently rowing a tender with the tide (the crucial bit) along a creek can be relaxing and productive.

Keeps longer and cooks quicker perfect for on a boat.

I feel like we’re on the same page. My Mother is a vegetarian, Carly was for 14yrs and so was my niece. That’s fair, although in the next episode you’ll see us being a tad more off grid and with the upgrades we’re doing right now, hopefully we’ll be able to be ‘off grid’ for much longer stretches of time 🤞🏼

Great video and yep, it's either vegan or chicken! Can't be both. In fact the more you think about it the very name is offensive as your calling it the very thing your trying to save! Like somebody from green peace wearing a vegan whale skin coat! I don't think that makes sense but anyway.......

I’m all for people eating what they like, and I fully support anyone who wants to eat veggie or vegan, it’s just bonkers to me, to call a vegetable product meat, just as much as it would be to call actual meat, a vegetable. Could you imagine the outcry there would be if a butcher marketed diced beef as ‘chopped tomato’? I think authenticity is the way to go, embrace the whatever it actually is that’s being sold as a meat substitute.

You do know that "churches" like that were NOT built as churches, right?! If you really want to know about such buildings, their historical origins, architechture etc, then you should conduct SERIOUS research on the Tartarian's and their Empire and reach around the entire World.

To be someone who claims not to be religious, you sound quite religious. The only question is which religion you belong to. ;-)) Great video from the Cadoham crew.

I’m fascinated by people, history and the mystery of the universe, which in itself lends to seeming like a similar interest in religion I guess. When I was in my 20’s I was so sure about everything I believed in, the older I get the more I realise just how little I actually know. ✌🏼

@@CadohaAdventures Well, you are both very fascinating people. It is so wonderful that you show us unique places of England that other boat videos do not. We are so grateful for that and are always looking forward to a new video from Cadoha.

Nope, it's not a debate. It is idiotic to call anything that is traditionally meat or made from meat, vegan. If you want to eat like a herbivore, then go right ahead, just don't expect the rest of humanity to have to placate your alternative views on diet and your emotional instability that normally comes when people claim to be vegan. Human beings are Omnivores and need to have a healthy diet of meat, vegetables and fruit. If you want to be a grass eater, then please, keep it to yourselves and don't try to spoil the wonderful foods that normal human beings have enjoyed for thousands of years. Be happy with your bland and lifeless fair, and let us go on enjoying the culinary delights of the normal diet of an Omnivore.

For someone who's obviously in touch with all the wonders of this world and then repeat how your not religious which I feel says you must not believe in God, I find to be rather hyprocritical. You made a statement about your treatment in Sunday school and I took from that you were either mistreated or abused. It seems your blaming God for your treatment and God had nothing to do with it ..Whatever turned you against religion was done by people and to use that as an excuse to remove yourself from Gods grace is very sad. Look around you and then ask yourself do you think everything in this world just happened by accident. I don't think so!!! I never discuss or preach religion but you made a point twice to bring it up and I felt it was rather offensive on a show that is about sailing and travelling around this amazing world. Stay safe and enjoy this wonderful place you've been lucky enough to enjoy.

I guess being disrespectful is subjective because that certainly wasn’t my intention. As far as removing myself from Gods grace, which God? There’s something approaching 2000 to choose from? I imagine you and I probably don’t believe in close to the same amount of religious narratives. We likely feel similarly about the Scientology story, or the Hindu faith, I imagine we likely feel similarly about the Inca people’s religious belief that child sacrifices need to be made in order to please their God, Sikhism is the worlds most popular monotheism, is that a story you find compelling? I don’t, but many clearly do. As easy as you find it to not believe in any of the above belief systems, so do I, and out of the thousands of religious narratives out there, the only difference is that I simply have one more on my list than you do. I don’t think you’re being disrespectful if you don’t find, say, Scientology compelling (if of course you don’t, I’m just assuming to make my point). I’m still able to be in awe of the natural world, in a state of wonder about the universe, and fascinated about the history of not just our species but of the world itself. I don’t feel that not believing in a particular story somehow invalidates that experience. Anyway I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and share your thoughts. I hope you’re keeping well 👍🏽🙂

I do like your channel and enjoy your ventures, however the comments about vegan chicken and bacon although correct don’t take into account what it actually means and not a literal interpretation. Vegan chicken or bacon is food that contains no meat or dairy but tastes like chicken or bacon. Like having a fur coat that’s not fur. You don’t say I have a coat that looks like fur but isn’t. You say I have a fur coat because it represents what a fur coat would look and feel like. Keep up the good work

You do make a valid point, but even so, I'm not sure the same enthusiasm would be offered the other way around, if butchers tried to flavour and present meat as a vegetable 😬 Anyway, my niggling rants to one side, I'm glad you otherwise enjoy the vlog 🙏🏻😁⛵️

@@CadohaAdventures >"if butchers tried to flavour and present meat as a vegetable" One US food outlet did it though: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYC2o36giMyDh6c Personally, I can't stand 'meat alternatives' and that's as someone who hasn't eaten meat since 1988. I stopped for several reasons and one of those is that I didn't really like the taste so the last thing I'm going to do is eat something that isn't meat that tastes and looks like it. The whole concept is on brand with the current times of hyperreality

I saw a vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, tofurkey pizza at the grocery store the other day. Not a single natural thing about that product, I bet it taste like eating a block of sawdust. Now, if they had sprinkled on a bit of vegan chicken....that would have made it good.

It’s not even about being ‘PC’ for me, it’s just, tell me what you’re actually offering me, ha ha. If someone says would you like to have some vegan bacon, I’m just going to say no, on principle. I’d expect a vegetarian or vegan to do the same if I offered them sliced beef and said “would you like to try some carnivore red pepper?” I’ve eaten plenty of veggie food, my diet is (if you divide up the food weighting’s on my average plate) mostly plant based, I just take issue with the idea of calling plant based food, meat!
