We Are Moving on to the New Catamaran!

We move on to our new hybrid electric sailing catamaran, and take it out for a second sea trial to test the systems. It was my first time docking the new boat and our first night sleeping on "Maverick". The ladies settled in nicely and already assumed their post laying on the trampolines in their bikinis.

Bobby- your new Cat is looking Amazing! Congrats to you Sir. You worked long and hard to get where you’re at and truly deserve it! My only concern is the Lithium batteries. You had mentioned foam for fire suppression. That will not work due to foam cuts out the oxygen to the fire but Lithium batteries when burning creates its own oxygen! Not being critical! Just concerned for your and your crews safety! The sealed battery compartments are a great idea to keep the salt water and batteries separated. Looking forward to seeing all your new adventures in the future.

Seeing the guys working extra hours to get the job done reminded me of when I was a teen. My family had a 20x40 built in swimming pool in the side yard, my dad hired a man to build a sloping roof off the house and over the patio. My brother (one year older than me) and I probably could have built it in 4 days with little to no carpentry skills. This man took THREE weeks, why did it take so long.... because my older sister who was probably 17-18 yrs old would have 3 or 4 girlfriends over nearly every day tanning by the pool, and taking a dip. I can imagine with Amanda and Lauryn mingling about in bikines, I'd want to stay as long as possible too, jus sayin...

Quick couple of questions, it almost looks like you don't have the place set up for all the lines to be stored, are you feeling the same way. Also how is it with operating the electric winches with the buttons on the side wall of the boat rather than operating it with your foot, is it more helpful in its current orientation? Those systems are awesome! I noticed that you have to hang over the helm station to see what the sails are doing. I wonder if Island Spirite might want to incorporate a moon roof in the hard top bimini in order to pick up what the sails are doing? I guess that would be giving up solar real estate. Will you be mounting a camera at the Helm Station to be able to see the main’s tell tales?
