I've said it before, I'll say it again: wow, wow, wow, your episodes and filmcraft just keep getting better and better. That's a great new intro, but so glad you kept Elayna's laughing dive onto the bunk; that's a Trademark moment. Lenny blooms, and you all deserve as much rest and relaxation in the spectacular Azores as you can muster. Thanks for share this fabulous location with us. Don't sweat the videos, enjoy your life there. Our wait on this end is always worth it when you deliver, and we're not going anywhere. And there were no ads at all in this episode; hooray, and well done. Stay safe and well, best wishes from Bathurst NSW Australia (where it's a fresh Spring, green with recent rain and new blossoms, such a change since last year and drought). Sail on sailors!

You are doing things, and experiencing things... The good and bad that really are special. Lenny is being brought up with a life he will cherish. I had the pleasure of living in Iran as a young child. My father and mother took me there and to this day at 52 years old I love those memories. Lenny will have so many more...

I had back problems that would not go away, could not sleep thru the night without waking up in pain. After 4 months I finally went to an osteopath. It was like she performed a miracle on me. It was truly amazing what this lady did for me. Great vid , Azores were all ready on my bucket list. Just have to get rid of this nasty pandemic first.

The Azores reminds me so much of New Zealand. Very similar scenery to the far North, Waikato/Rotorua and much of the South Island. Beautiful
@jasilvacook4 жыл бұрын
Willis the Azores is very similar to New Zealand. I went to NZ when i was 14yo to see relatives both North and South Island 31 years ago, and I use to live the Azores up until 2008. There are many similarities between them, even as far as the Hāngi (cooking in the ground). There are many unique things about each island and although i haven't been to all of the islands only 5 of 9. I do plan and seeing the rest one day and retiring on the island of Pico.

Have you noticed that Lennie is a great sound imitator. As a baby, when you were on the boat and he was growling, he was imitating the boat sounds and now that you're in the car he is imitating the engine sounds. This is a a sign that he will be a great singer some day!!! Or a great impersonator!!!

I haven't caught up with your videos for a bit now, and I didn't think it had been that long until I saw how big Lenny has gotten! Last time I watched, he was just starting to pull himself up on things and stand and now he's WALKING. He's so big I wanna cry!!! Now I gotta go back through all the missed videos and catch up -- feel like I've missed SO much.
@johnmarch0074 жыл бұрын
Agreed! Excellent new intro change! No longer a stowaway but a crew member!!! PS I was swept into a river during a flood and broke my back and both of my arms. I have recovered without surgeries and there are some basics that can help with Riley's back: Always try and sleep with a pillow between his legs to reduce strain on the sacrum. Tart Cherry extract can help reduce inflammation. Also various forms of Capiscum. Hip flexor stretching to reduce the Ham strings pulling on the pelvic girdle. Learning proper kettle bell usage for squats and hip mobility. I found learning Turkish Get up invaluable. Also a portable TENS unit, very inexpensive, can be a life saver during spasm episodes. Try and avoid NSAIDs if possible but if you are in spasm they can help. I am NOT a DR. but I am twice Riley's age and completely understand what he is dealing with and encourage him to try any and all options until he finds what works. PPS carrying copies of x-rays and or MRI's as digital files can also make things easier when you get to a new DR.

Wonderful, wonderful feedback for Riley. Glad the osteopath got you where you needed to be!May I also just add that if discomfort is in the mid region never underestimate the connection to the kidneys. I've had back issues my entire life and there's often a connection to the kidneys. One time I had terrible back problems and it turned out to be a kidney infection and once it cleared up, my spine was fine again. Maybe ease up on the alcohol and it's good that you just cleaned your water maker. One can never stress the importance of pure water enough. If there are any heavy metals or particulates this can weigh heavily on the kidneys and cause back pain. We tend to always assume that discomfort is due to structural issues but if you talk to any really good chiropractor they'll tell you that the many nerve endings that funnel into the spine are completely related to all the organ systems in the body. Heart issues can produce discomfort in between the shoulder blades, reproductive issues can cause back pain in the lower spine, and as I mentioned kidney issues can cause issues in the mid to lower back region. It's really important to be aware of that connection. MOLD can also be a very significant factor. I know you guys often clean the mold off of the walls etc in the boat but that's actually critical. Exposure to large or concentrated amounts of mold will tax the kidneys and produced back issues which sometimes won't even manifest until you do heavy lifting, etc. If you've been in some really old buildings, you might have exposed yourself to some bad mold. I coach folks on this often. Feel free to email me if you want some remedies to kill mold in lungs, internally and in boat. ariadelphi@yahoo.com

It's actually really easy to make your own plant milk. For oat milk all you need to do is blend oats with water. To prevent it going slimy you can strain it through a nut milk bag (or any cotton cloth). Could save some weight as well!
@_fleur4 жыл бұрын
Paul Chapin OK boomer
@_fleur4 жыл бұрын
GaryEvansb My comment wasn't about the nutritional/ethical value of oat milk. It was merely about being able to save weight/space. To make 20L (≈ 20KG) of oat milk you only need 2KG of oats and the rest is water. So they could save a lot of weight/space by just bringing aboard the oats and making their plant milk with the water from the watermaker. But nice come back 👍
@_fleur4 жыл бұрын
GaryEvansb Thanks for your honest and nice reply too 😊 I forget the demographic of sailing videos might not be the same as most other YT channels I watch, and that a comment about plant milk can be interpreted as an annoying treehugger activist trying to change the world again. (I mean I am a bit of a treehugger, but I also think a lot of activist's approaches have the adverse effect and the world is less black and white/more complex than some people make it out to be)
