It seems a little strange, but I could listen to that sound all day, and never get tired of it

What an enoyable video. Thankyou very much. I seem to have developed a bad habit of throwing my cutelry overboard. Down to eating my steak with my last teaspoon.

I suggest you sharpen the edge of your teaspoon. Lol.

Hi Chris, just a suggestion to put your battery isolator switch inside the cabin because I can see it will get knocked off one day when you have other crew on and when you are tracking with sheets going everywhere. And the lovely wooden boat called Pinga at 14.10 looks like the sister ship to your yacht.

Thanks for your ideas. The isolation switch is in side the cabin. The switch you see in the cockpit is a modified isolation switch that I’m currently using as a starter switch. Normally I take the key out. I do have to install a solenoid at the moment, it’s just a direct good old fashion stick a shifter across the terminals kind of starter. I felt very comfortable in the company of Pinger. I must find out who owns her and something of her history, but she looks fast.

@@SmallSailboatCruising yes Pinger would be a great story if you could find something about her. As I said it looks like the sister ship to your lovely wooden yacht.

I’ll be in the area over this summer. I should be able to track down her owner. I need to do that to see if I can use the floating dock. It’s quite rickety. Used by three old wooden boats. I loved the atmosphere. Unusual in todays risk averse world. No signs or warnings. I like that. I was able to use my judgement, step over a couple of dodgy boards and careful to tie off on something strong enough.

@@SmallSailboatCruising I just hope you can find more information. And yes I understand what you mean about making a judgement.

It is a well known fact that the penguins ate all the polar bears in the southern hemisphere; likewise the bears ate all the penguins in the north. Sarah Ann looks beautiful afloat and you look right at home on her. Great job.

LOL. I think your theory about bears and penguins is very sound. When you take over a very old boat with a lot of history, it takes time before you have that sense of ownership. I am getting there.

Another good video Chris did you get your motor from that bloke in cloundra or was it with the boat hope you had couple of good days out it looks like those jib sheet padeyes need to be back more you got a better tender than mine cheers steve

Yes I got the pad eyes all wrong. The motor came with the boat. The previous owner bought it from someone - don’t know who. It’s not the original motor.

NOT planning to repeat that. We don’t have super yachts on the Tamar.
