After years documenting life afloat in your two classic Pearson retrofitted electric motor sailboats, it is a delight to watch you enjoying a luxury charter in the BVI aboard an offspring of your efforts. Thank you for bringing us along. Happy 2024!

Two Pearsons? I’m pretty sure they’ve only ever had the one sailboat, the one UMA. I’ve been watching for years as well, and I believe I’ve seen all of their videos, but their first couple of years I may have missed a few here and there. So while I’m “pretty sure” it’s always been the same boat, I’m not 100% and ready to argue about it 😂… but I sure would like clarity. It’s possible I’m wrong and there is a whole other boat I haven’t seen… if that’s the case I’m going to have to look for that. Anyone care to chime in please? Dan & Kika maybe??

Cheers to you, Dan and Kika, Beau and Brandy, and Maya, y'all are livin' the dream, and we're lucky enough to tag along. For sure, all four of you are a great inspirations for others who are interested in pursing the cruising lifestyle.

Loved this collab video! The boat looks fantastic and seems to sail really well in low winds. Tip: when maneuvering at low speeds with engines only, center the helm and lock in place with the nut or hold with your knee…the boat will be much more responsive to port and starboard engine thrusts and track much better…really important when docking. That drone video work and editing was breathtaking! Fair Winds from Austin ⛵️

Dan and Kika hi if I may correct you on motoring catamaran as a former commercial captain. The right way of turning is not by full power engines one against the other, Better is the motor on the inside turn just taking into revars only by touch no power. and the other external motor taking in forward. there is no need for full power. And if you want to make the turning more internal Just get help from the bow truster. That way it's better because if you're taking the motors once against each other, You making forces on the body of the boat that unnecessarily,BY the long term it can make damage

Just wondering if you guys read my comment from 4(?) years ago about keeping clear of unexploded ordinance munitions even if you think it is training rounds like Dan said at the time.
@theunknownunknowns25611 ай бұрын
You know because training rounds can't launch themselves on to the middle of a Island in the Caribbean. Because they don't have enough explosive or more likey zero explosive. Take it from me a unexploded high explosive round is more likely than a drill round. Don't touch, mark record report.

Question for all of you who have sailed on more than one boat, and boats of different size from a Sabot to something bigger than a 75' yacht. What was your favorite boat? What was your favorite sailing experience? Was it that first time out on the water in a day sailer, making a crossing of one of the oceans, or cruising the Polynesian islands or Bahamas?
