Found Sailing Zatara about a year ago & have been watching ever since.. It's amazing to see the change in your kids attitude for sailing and this amazing opportunity that you've given them.. I think an interesting episode would be an introspective video with the kids watching earlier videos of themselves and commenting about their perspective then and now..

The thing about your guys is that you are hard workers. It's easy to see how you have become financially independent: by working your butts off. In the same way, you took this channel from nothing one that just got 45K views in a couple of days. It's impressive.

I’m a new fan of your channel and a fellow Texan by way of the Army hospital in San Antonio. I have so far caught up to being current on this season as of today’s vlog! I am a wounded warrior that was very severely wounded in Iraq in 2007. What comes along with the three plus years of learning to walk on one leg and healing all the other broken parts is the work it takes to heal the wounds you can’t see. So i spend a lot of nots the last ten years not being able to sleep. Recently I’ve started watching KZbin videos to kind of zone out and relax my mind to a place where I can finally fall asleep. I’ve watched vlogs from secret service, military and combat related to super car vlogs. It wasn’t until I found your channel that I ever thought of watching sailing videos but it’s brought back some great memories from my childhood learning to sail a 14 ft Hobie Cat and watching the America’s Cup with my Dad. I truly love your family and watching is a great form of mental relaxation and healing for me. I love the water. I don’t think I could ever physically sail for more than a couple hours but it would be a dream to one day. Maybe I’ll post my videos of my family sailing somewhere soon. You inspire so many i wanted to tell you about my different perspective of watching your channel. Thanks for the healing...Good luck all.

Thanks to my larger-than-life father Jack L. Gray (1927-1981) I spent many weeks at Rybovich in West Palm when i was 8, 9 and 10 years old. He always had Emil and the crew doing custom modifications on his old pre-WWII cabin cruisers. Hopkins Marine (is it still there?) regularly emptied his wallet, too.

I've extremely loved all your families episodes and may all your days be clear sailing. I clicked on to another sailing video log of a young family who was trying to take their life to sea and make a living too. As I followed their postings I noticed they were from the year 2017. The postings were getting later and later in the summer. I knew the Hurricanes were horrific that year and had destroyed many beautiful islands late that year. I found myself praying I was wrong and that they might get far enough south. Unfortunately they were at Porto Rico when Maria hit. They survived at a sister -in -laws house. Both that house and their Cat were wrecked. I saw a photo of it on it's roof. It broke my heart. The boating world took a major hit with 3 -4 horrible hurricanes that year. Everybody stay safe!

28 minutes - and I was sad when it ended and having to wait till next week. My observations. Jack is a good sport. Anna is just about the smartest - funniest - teenager I've seen in a long time. Finn is growing and soon will be in there with Jack and Keith. Kate is growing too and doing well behind the camera. It'll be second nature for her soon, and I can see that she might enjoy learning the video editing process as well. Christmas came early to Keith - loved him walking out with new DeWalts... of course guys always enjoy equipment upgrades. I can see that Renee' seems to be 100% relaxed with the sea life... I don't know how Keith pulled off his miracle, but I enjoy watching the kids grow and look forward to your trip through the canal and down to the Southern Cross sea. And one more personal observation - I could go through those Frosted Flakes myself in just a week.

Such a great episode. I see someone got a summer haircut ;) . Jack looked like a a great Capitan at the helm. He seems to have really taken to the sea and a sailors life. I imagine all those upgrades are going to make sailing life that much better. I hope Keith can review/share his thoughts on the upgraded equipment down the road. It's great to see Jack and Anna driving. Florida can be a trial by fire when it comes to driving compared to Texas and probably Montana. Really loved Anna's thought process on going through an intersection. And now we have to wait another week... Stay safe out there.

If you don't want to lift your boat to install a through hull, you can (and we did) do it in the water. One person inside drills 1/8 (3mm) hole pushing the drill bit through beyond the flutes, a diver on the outside holds a can/cup/tupperware bigger than the through hull full hole size over the drill bit, inside person then removes 1/8 drill and then uses the full size hole saw to drill through hull, once the hole is drilled and hole core removed the outside diver removes the can and inserts the new outer for the through hull (through hull can be either sealed with a palm or bung), inside guy then secures rest of through hull. A little scary when you pull off the can but we let in maybe 1/2 a gallon of water tops, worth the diver carrying an appropriate bung just in case the through hull gets dropped :)

Just like a car mechanic. At time 12:00 replacing hatches ! When removing old hatches, maybe clean the interior of the holding frames and a little Vaseline goes a long way in rejouvenating and removing ground in dirt that accumulates. Just a suggestion.
