The US military has unleashed a wave of attacks targeting radar sites operated by Yemen's Houthi rebels after a merchant sailor went missing and the vessel he was on caught fire.
It’s the latest Houthi strike in the Red Sea corridor and comes as the US Navy faces the most intense combat it has seen since World War II.
Mohammed al-Basha at Navanti Group joined LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow to discuss the latest on the Houthis.

@@bobbobby7536 It would be nearly impossible to hide something like that on a ship with 5,000 to 6,000 people in a task force with several other ships and 1,000s of other sailors. Plus hitting a carrier is quite difficult since its surrounded on all sides by picket ships whose job is to knock down all incoming and absorb any blows that don't get knocked down. You can't really sneak an aircraft carrier into port if there were any meaningful evidence of damage it would probably be very obvious. The two month old picture story again sounds like an info plant. How would they know when it's taken if it even exists.

Iran. Iraq. Afghanistan. They all fired back. We may have evacuated because of terrorist determined, but they still got wrecked. Also isn’t Iraq a U.S. Ally? They got democracy in the hole. Also: this is about the carrier that was ‘hit” in the Red Sea It’s a comical thing is that: The Ike was in the Red Sea for 9 months, wayyyy after their actual date to go home, and after 9 months, 3 TOURS, and which the alleged Houthi hit on it: it was relived by another carrier (Each tour is 6 months) and so here is the truth: they went to have a break after blasting Houthis.

I think you forgot a little thing called Vietnam, where a number of U.S. ships were hit by shore fire, one destroyer was bombed, and U.S. PBRs and PCFs (swift boats) were in hundreds of gun fights an hundreds American sailors were killed and wounded. We launched thousands of carrier strikes and fired tens of thousands of naval gunfire rounds both in the north and south of the 17th parallel. Then we had a sizeable naval engagement with the Iranians during the 1980s.
