​@@GeorgiaAndrea I think you're forgetting, that her current human family, were not there in their first life, her bonds with the rest of the guardians and Mamoru are much stronger than with her human family. Plus it's not uncommon if someone suffers a devastating loss (like losing all of the people who've been there through both of her lives) to become severely depressed and most likely suffer from survivors guilt. It's not that they meant nothing, but she turned out to literally be a princess that has to save the world on multiple occasions where she survives insane things together with these people, you automatically become very close after such things

I will forever be mad about the fact that toei didn't try to age up the story to give something more complex and dark like madoka magica to all the fans for the crystal remakes. Most of the fans of the show are adults now, so it would have been incredible to have the nostalgia of sailor moon but with actual interesting plot and character development. I love Naoko, I think she is an incredible character designer and world builder, but compelling plots and arcs were never her strong suit. Would have been nice for them to adjust the story a bit instead of making a carbon copy of the manga

the story was already dark and complex enough… she has to fight an eternity with all of her friends dead against the embodiment of all evil in the distant future. sorry that not everything is trying to be a copy of MIDoka magica.

@6eadgrl doesn't really change the fact that the execution was completely subpar. I don't need them to be a copy of madoka magica, i just said that's a good example of a modern magical girl show that is made for an adult audience. I still watched all the movies and enjoyed them because of the nostalgia I have for sailor moon. Doesn't change the fact that objectively, it was really bad and lazy, with characters constantly being introduced only to die 5 minutes later. The animation is beautiful, but that's about it. Naoki has said herself that she was pressured to dumb down the original story and was forced to make it more child friendly, so it's really sad to me that even 30 years later they can't give us something better. Death doesn't equate to mature if it feels like the story and characters were written by a 12 year old

Aber es ist doch kein melancholisches AMV (zumindest nicht im klassischen Sinne). Schau am besten mal nach einer Übersetzung des Textes von dem Lied, dann versteht man vielleicht besser, warum es ausgewählt wurde. Das ist das Ending von Madoka Magica, einem eher düsteren Magical-Girl-Anime. Aber wenn du etwas Melancholischeres suchst, bin ich mir sicher, dass du davon auch eine Menge finden wirst :)
