I remember that Galaxia killed Darien but in the last episode he resurrected or his soul appeared. Haven't seen the show for ages so sorry for misinformation if i'm wrong. Thanks for comment. 💖

No, she never killed him. They had their past in the Silver Millennium era that ended up in tragedy though. Spoilers from here: in the manga and crystal version of the rebooted show she killed herself after he died, directly, with his sword becuase she was overcome with grief. In the original 90's anime they toned it down slightly with her running after him and getting caught up in the attack that killed him as well. I vaguely remember hearing that the change was in part because of certain laws at the time in Japan regarding depicting suicide on TV, but I may be wrong. It may have been a production choice, and these kinds of production choices developing the story so differently from the manga version is part of why Sailor Moon Crystal exists, to have a telling following the original material. Kind of the difference between Full Metal Alchemist and the Brotherhood version that came later.

@depressedpomeranian Yeah, he's not there for most of the final season. It makes sense that Galaxia took the sailor crystal of the planet shew as invading as her first move, it makes sense and confirms that he is the 'sailor guardian' of earth. It also set the stakes form the offset for that season incredibly high, because they didn't know it for sure at first, because it was synced when he left to study abroad. Ultimately everyone is saved, but it is a high stakes season for sure. For the light moments, it sure does had a lot of contrast and high stakes. Great story telling, love both the 90's and Crystal version. :) They both have their pros and cons
