everyone complaining about them reusing the transformation sequence from season 3 of crystal for the eternal movie but redoing it for the newer style and yet I see nobody bash how the 90s did the exact same thing for the inners transformations for every power up they had.

Exactly . They literally had the same transfo from episode 1 -200. Just change in clothing.

It looks like they drew Usagi to appear younger in the Eternal movie which I really don't like or understand. In the 90's SuperS season she was 15 at the time (16 in Stars) but consistently would appear older as the series went on which was a nice detail. Crystal follows the manga so instead season 3 was Usagi's last season for being 15 but was drawn consistently to how she was drawn in the 90's S season, most noticeably on her long arms and legs. She should now look and be 16 in both Eternal movies (and eventually Stars) but she looks too similar to season 1 Usagi from the 90's which makes her look 14 again. I'm willing to give it a chance but I really hope Toei touches up the film because it doesn't look movie quality, especially when compared to their other movies/PreCure.

It's just the art style change, more specifically the softening of the jawline. I like how you don't even point out Crystal seasons 1 and 2, which were the most accurate to the manga's art and always made them appear more womanly and grown up than what their actual ages were. It all comes down to art style.

@@arcyarcanine I didn't know anything of the Manga or seen any art from it watching crystal for the first time, but they never appeared womanly to me lol. They just looked beautiful, mature, elegant and powerful something I didn't thought sailor moon could be. 90s anime they felt goofy, childish, immature but pretty. I'm a simple person I like basically whatever because to me all art styles looks pretty but I'm going to have a favorite and that's Crystal S1&2. Sad to see it leave, would've liked to see it with better animation that way the beauty of the art style would shine through. I loved it before reading the Manga and I learned to appreciate seeing the Manga style animated after reading the Manga.

In fact, in the classic series it happened like this, the characters were more and more stylized until Stars, which gave a feeling of growth. (not counting the chapters commissioned to cheap studies)

Honestly, I feel like the progression for that would be perfect. Had they given Season 1-2 a bigger budget, the animation would’ve been so much better. Start S1 and 2 with Season 3’s art, have Dream remain as is, and the original Crystal art style where they look significantly older and more beautiful be the art style for Stars. Stars barely had any goof in it, it was serious through and through- that’s where the first Crystal art style would’ve worked.

Eternal is good especially consider mix of hand+flash animation. Glad in S3 poses they polished it more in Eternal Movie. I also love the comments about "tracejob" when 90s did exact same thing each season (excluding Ami Special) for inner scouts just change pens/added super outfit change (not counting final BG images when transformation is done).

I don’t really like the Eternal art but I’m gald that you do. Honestly I really wish they return back to S3 Crystal. It’s so much more pretty, well made and it just packed more of a punch! But that’s just me..

I didn't like SMC3 so much because I'm a fan of SMC 1- 2. However, after looking at SME, I think SMC3 is so good.

I personally wasn’t a fan of the art style of SMC Season 3, I would preferred to keep the Season 1-2 animation and art style. However, SMC Season 3 art style compared to the SME one’s is really FAR better than the SME and we have to think that the transformation looks rushed and straight up bad compared to the 90’s. I really don’t like this new art style, hope that in the Stars arc they fix it.

Omg I love 1 and 2 too, they had the flowing thick hair and the detailed lips like in the manga. Yes they could have just tweaked it a little but they looked so regal. Imagine how she would have looked in the eternal form? Also I miss the real time attack and not the repetitive stock footage.

Yes, everything was traced in an inferior artstyle, and the things they couldn't trace from Season 3 they traced from SuperS, like Moon's transformation and attack or Setsuna's transformation.

No Thanks it's the 90s SM fans fault, they wanted Crystal/Eternal to look like the 90s version, now that it resembles the 90s they're complaining that the animation and style is choppy, bad and poor in quality, and now praises the previous seasons when they bashed it before Eternal came out. the Fans are TOXIC, Eternal is not even bad

OMG So "eternal" is a new animation awful .Everyone adored the animation in season 3 but now shock.I even liked the animation in season 1 and 2 the best.But this in "eternal" shock.Thanks for the comparison.

@@ilihexe8829 Yeah I prefer the Manga but the movies overall did a great job bringing the Manga dream arc to life. I wanted them to be a little longer than 1hr 21mins, can't wait for the stars arc my favorite Manga arc and 90s anime season.

@@BriEntAnderson I never missed the 90's, I just don't like the season 1&2. The animation was kinda weird and their body was so thin and long. Season 3 was so good and Eternal improved that good animation. I love season 4 movie so much
