dude. i’m so sorry for all the negative comments on here. for essentially a one man project, this is fucking incredible. the props are a little corny for sure but honestly it adds such a great level of anime ridiculousness that i’m totally here for. i’ve dabbled in video editing myself and knowing how tricky these things are, the effects look AMAZING. keep making stuff dude, this rocks.

Considering this was made with zero money, zero actors and was purely a volunteer based project, I am quite impressed. There were cringe worthy moments only due to the fact that the original anime had cringe worthy moments. The effects were very smooth and clean and it is clear that attempts were made to blend them into the live-action. The mother character was truly enjoyable and it seems she had fun with the role. Juniper's story was rather heartbreaking and the actress portrayed the hopeless feelings of not making ends meet painfully accurately. It seems to pay homage to the old 80 and 90 power-rangers live action. It was really enjoyable.

One of the things I get so frustrated with these days is these Hollywood directors make these films without really keeping the integrity of the storyline that the fans have come to love. Wow, I was incredibly impressed with this film! For a fan film, you can definitely tell a lot of time and effort went into making this happen. I loved the length of it, one of the biggest things that impressed me at first! My favorite moments were all the special effects which were fun to watch and the ending scenes were the best parts about it imo. The costumes were made/ picked well and were consist to one other when it came to the sailor uniforms. Great choices for actors for the main characters, they seemed to fit the characters they were portraying pretty well and my favorite actress was the actress that played Lita/Sailor Jupiter. It was kind of weird at first seeing all different versions of Sailor Moon portrayed in one project but doing so definitely allowed fans from all versions to enjoy it together. Will definitely watch it again and share it around. Thanks for the experience! *Edit* Also loved the use of REAL cat actors in this!

Let me just say I started watching this purely for laughs. My only regret is that this cast didn't have a bigger budget to really take this where it should have gone. First, I commend them for taking this in the direction of the original manga; any real fan would have caught that. Second, yes the acting isn't great, but the appreciation represented in both the original and the remake is present, which tells me at the very least, the director understands where both spectrums of the fandom are coming from. To me, this is very important, as there are certain elements from the storyline that the Crystal gen would miss. Of no fault of their own, of course. It's just one of those "had to be there" kind of things. Having grown up on the terrible DIC dub, transitioning to the subs, and eventually reading the manga from Codename: Sailor V to StarS, I can appreciate what you've produced. Third, please remember this lovely cast did this on little to no budget. They didn't sell the manga storyline out to do it, either. They stayed true to the original emotion put forth by Mrs. Takeuchi and brought what was captured for the original fans through in a way that still could translate to new watchers (well, those with an open mind). I'm usually super critical with these kinds of things, but not at all once did I feel like it was "too cringey" to click the X in my browser window. This cast did an awesome job with the resources they had. I can't even imagine what it was like to have to get people to work for you, gotdamnit, possibly for FREE. That's dedication. Fourth, if you've never, ever in your life recorded real emotion in front of a camera and posted it for the world to see, shut the fuck up. It takes A LOT of editing not to mention patience, time, and skill to sit there and make a 20 minute clip, let alone an almost 3 hour video born from of PASSION for a series you probably just tuned into because the remake is relevant on Crunchyroll and you happen to be bored enough to leave a critique that's honestly not worth anyone's time at all. This is the soul/cast of someone/people who/who've been been touched by Taoko Takeuchi's craft, and it shines through. I remember petitioning for Sailor StarS to be released in the US in 1999-2000 (saveoursailors.org), just to show my age. On that note, in the age of the revival of Sailor Moon, and with the recent release of the SailorStars dub (ugh..but FINALLY) I hope you ladies create a Patreon so that those who truly appreciate the work you and your cast have put forth can actually SUPPORT you and pave the way for you to create a ROMANCE, INFINITY, DREAM, and STARS arc. Thank you.

Anyone who's read the manga knows "Serena" is Usagi in N.A/dub: as you can see these actors are obvi American; are you really dumb enough to fault them for this? Mind you, Serena is really just Selena thanks to Romaji, jus sayin' If you think the actors/actresses were that bad, please make and link a comparable video so I can shit all over the low quality and terrible acting. Some people commenting on this need to read the caption. This is an amateur film project made without a budget or high tech equipment. The actors are all volunteers. It was a learning experience for the creator. I think the person who created this did very well. This is impressive for someone's first foray without professional equipment, actors or budget. You're going to go far if you keep it up. Leaps and bounds better than what other people have done WITH a budget and better equipment.

Wow... Honestly, I didn't think it would actually be good but I'm surprised that I stayed up 'till 3 in the morning to finish this instead of sleeping. It was awfully well-made and it was really something. I'd recommend this for a fellow Sailor Moon fan who'd want to watch for nostalgia. At first, I quite thought that the plot would be a bit off from either the manga or the anime (most people who had attempted to make a live-action Sailor Moon movie seem to just love ruining it by taking away very important information and adding useless fillers) but it did follow the necessary route and this was really admirable. The actors despite being only volunteers did exceptionally well, their acting wasn't the best of the best and sometimes they didn't really have the feel (making it sound a tad bit monotonous in a way) but they did their best, in my opinion, they managed to portray it like the anime/manga. Though I have to admit that at times the acting seemed so professional and after a few minutes suddenly cringe-y but I won't blame the creators of this fanmade film since the anime and manga portrayed just about the same amount of cringe-y-ness I found both amusing and fun. The camera crew must be at least experienced, I mean come on the shots were really taken well. Salute to them. Whoever the camera crew is. Oh, the editor as well, that guy is very very VERY skilled, the CGI, effects, everything was amazing. The costumes weren't the most accurate (some seem to keep repeating this and they claim that the actors didn't quite fit with it) but they actually were more well-suited since they seem to be somewhere in America. The locations, however, were superb and well-thought-of. I miss seeing spaghetti, I at least thought that maybe there would be a scene with it there but beggars can't be choosers plus this was still an awfully great film. You guys don't deserve any hate at all, instead, you oughta be supported because you all are wonderful people with potential. Oh, fudge I'm rambling... Haha sorry, I still love this very much. I love how all of you put such effort and care into making this. Keep up the good work!

I'm so sad about the negative comments on this. For so low-budget it's really brilliant and for any budget I found it entertaining. I could tell it's made by true fans. I studied Japanese and lived in Japan because I was a Sailor Moon fan as a kid. Sharing the anime with my kids now and me and my 7 year old loved this movie. Thank you so much for sharing this labor of love with us! BTW they cast with friends and family and filmed locally, so setting had to be US (not Japanese) and cast was seriously amazing to have been chosen amongst friends and low-paid/unpaid actors. They caught the essence of the story and characters so well and the effects are superior to the licensed live-action from 2003. I'm mad at youtube for only recommending this to me yesterday! My kid will probably be watching this over and over the way I watched Masters of the Universe and Back to the Future as a child. I hope the fans that made this movie will see this comment. Also Indiegogo for this was less than $5k but Avengers film's budgets are $350 MILLION+ each. I mean, for that kind of money how can anyone be mad at this? It is shockingly good.

I love this like I love DBZ Abridged This is an amazing amateur movie!! As an og Sailor Moon fan, theater nerd, and retired cosplayer, I think this project is a BEAUTIFUL labor of love!! Like, it’s SO DETAILED and faithful to the Sailor Moon atmosphere! I’m so jealous of everyone who worked in this honestly! It looks like it was a lot of hard work but a lot of fun! Please be proud of this forever!!! _>; Please educate yourselves, lol. PSS: As an illustrator, I think about this a lot. We shouldn’t be *THAT* embarrassed of how cringy our art used to be when we were younger. The fact that we grow and change and can look back at it is pretty amazing. Like, “damn, I did my best with this. I’m proud of me for working on this!” PSSS: Anyway, I’ll throw hands with whoever says this piece of art is bad when it’s legit one of the best fanmade Sailor Moon content I’ve ever seen. I feel like I’m watching a gem. This is like… a perfect adaptation specifically of the original english dub in Adult Swim? I will gladly defend this super earnest project of love.

the last PS ily: TLDR: If you’re western and you’re being weirdly harsh on this project you’re, and I don’t throw this around light, a sailor moon poser lol 👀;

I absolutely love this! Fuck the people that sent all those rude, nasty, and overall disgusting comments, they have absolutely no idea how good this actually is. For a fanmade film it's really enjoyable. But yes it can be a bit corny, or cheesy at time but who cares?! The fact that this is fanmade and is so good is unbelievable! I hope in the future we get a movie based off Season 2 of the show💕

Ppl hating but they probably can't even write a script 🤷🏾♀️ even if it's not top tier and polished, it's a fan made project and took so much time to make. This is literally a full length movie. Stop being so mean.

You know what, this movie is surprisingly very DETAILED. All my childhood visual memories were back instantly (I read all the mangas and watched the anime like everyday back then). Still there are qualities to be improved but...WHATEVER, THIS IS A FINE 2 hrs spent in a nice way during quarantine 😂

I'm so sorry that yall poured your heart out to pay tribute to our fictional heroes and all you seem to be getting is was hate back in this comment section... I want too commend you for all the effort you all put into this... Its beautiful and touching.. It's great when people pay such tribute to the things they love and I for one love you all for it *peace and love*

This was actually really good! I can't imagine how much work went into this. I enjoyed reliving my nostalgic childhood, Sailor Moon was my first introduction to anime, it will always hold a special place in my heart. Great job on this film!

It’s okay, it has its problems sure. But it’s a harmless fan project of dedicated sailor moon fans coming together to bring together something that they wanted to show the world. Even if it fell flat in execution, I admire the passion of them going through with the whole story of season 1 to the very end.

This is literally the best thing ever. Thank you. I am so grateful to all of those who worked so hard on this. Yes. It's cheesy as hell. And yes. The animation is cringy. But that is literally such a part of it's charm, and I loved every second of this. Thank you so much. I feel like I was literally taken back to my 5 yr old self. My monthly depression has been cured.

An absolute delight. Negative commenters: you're really willing to hurt the feelings of an actual human being over the finer details of a twenty year-old shōjo anime/manga? The people who made this put something they took joy in creating online. All you're putting online is bile. I'm ashamed of every last one of you. Again, I liked this very much. It's a huge undertaking by people who cared about what they're making, and for the best reason in the world: because they loved it. Thank you for sharing!

Good job to yall for making this movie. I enjoyed it. It may not be the best movie in terms of CGI but you are true fans. As a great fan myself I say bravo. You did this on a limited budget but lots of heart. To haters, I'd like you to make a movie of your own. We're all fans of Sailor Moon, we should be praising our fellow moonies instead of hating on them.

I really love this movie project. People can say what they will, but the story was faithful to the entire classic series (a few aspects different, but stayed true blue) Wish there was a Sailor Moon R that you made. XD Take care and hope things are working out well for everyone since this was made... Almost 6 years ago? Still very well put together!

I agree. I actually laughed out loud (at the parts meant to be funny) and, sure, I fast forwarded some. However, they definitely do not deserve such criticism, and awful sexual comments. It's clear a few of them are very young. I think they did a good job, and had FUN! I mean, perish the thought of that!

What in the hell, how are people disliking this?! This is so badass, it was so obviously done out of somebodys massive love for Sailor Moon they made a 2 hour movie. Like the characters are accurate to their personalities and they mimed the shows anime style and like even kept the sillyness of Usagi’s run. Whoever you are that made this I hope you read this comment and ignore these morons that dont get how awesome this is and how much work went into it. I think this is cool as hell

Naysayers can say what they want but they actually did it. With a small budget, they executed what they wanted, their dream. Great effort and inspired adoration of not only the anime but also live action version, dic dub, manga and new anime.

I just saw this again for the second time. Glad youtube suggested it; I'd forgotten all about it. I adore this. It has the same cheesy, endearing feeling the japanese live-action show had. You guys were clearly passionate about this. You can tell how much effort was put into it. I must say, the special effects look really good for a fan-made film. Also, I really dig how enthusiastic the actress playing sailor moon is. I hope you all continue creating content. Thanks for making me smile tonight. I wish you guys the best of luck.

For the camp, fanfilm, etc it was... The folks putting out there with what they had with tech, actors, costumes, sound, and etc at the time. I take it as it was, a love letter and some people who took a risk and just loved the franchise enough to make their own fanfilm. No need to be jerks about stuff, etc. They did what they could.

Well, for a fan made video, with basically no budget, equipment and special stuff, with only friends and family helping, this is pretty good! I wouldn't have done half of it, and neither would most haters here. Btw, the effects are actually awesome for someone learning. I specially loved how you made Luna! If only my cat did half, I would be happy. Keep on working ;)

For a no budget movie it is brilliant. Thank you for your effort. Even if some events do not correlate 100% to the 90s series, it is a well rounded story.

i love the lead actresses , she did a great job conveying the charm and naievity of serena, and i love how mina had a brittish accent .she was great as beryl . the dialogue is funny , well written and true to the anime . i love the bg music from the anime . at times i wish the actors had been dubbed over or had a mic as sound quality went in and out. i wish the other actors emoted more but it's very impressive for a fan project and everyone is brave just for putting themselves out there like this .
