Beautiful toys. When I was a little girl and Sailor Moon anime was for the first time on TV in my country, I did this wand from simple stick which I found somewhere on the ground. This stick had a perfect shape, I just painted it. It was my greatest treasure, haha. Great times.

I'm so glad the new crystal is pearly white. I was so irritated at the pink crystal as a teenager that I painted over it with pearlescent nail polish. The pink still shone through when I used the wand, though. Thanks for the review!

For those who may not recognize it, the Silver Crystal melody is poor in quality compared to the melody in the anime. The rest of the sounds are correct. :)

Mine doens't even work. I bought another one and that never worked either. 200 dollars spent ;( that was the beginning of my disdain for proplicas. ;)

I am impressed! With how many people pre-ordered this item without even knowing much about it (we only knew it had a stand and that the Silver Crystal was removable, but we didn't know how many sounds it had or that it even came with the lotus version of the Silver Crystal), I am pleasantly surprised that Bandai didn't just throw something of mediocre quality out there. It looks to me like the wand actually IMPROVED since pre-orders began... or like they didn't do it justice with the advertising. The fact that the batteries and the speakers are now hidden better is important from a "design" point of view. As is the fact that, turning the wand around, the moon connects to the "stick" part more naturally, without that "toy's back" effect on the other two (that rectangular shape that in no way works with the rest of the item). The matte effect on the handle makes it more durable (not as easily scratched, and easier to grip than something shiny and slippery). The box I think is very classy, all white, and with the delicate pink design and gold writing... it doesn't look like a toy box and that really matters to me. And the color looks the best out of the three you have there (though maybe the comparison is not fair since the other two may've been affected by the passing of time - especially the one on the far left). All in all... While I do mourn the fact that it's not as long as the SMW one; I am really really impressed with the quality and attention to detail on this piece. I'm glad I got it, since I see this going up in value in the next few years - and had it been even more expensive, I doubt I would've been able to afford getting it

I used to have a Sailor Moon Moon Stick! On mine, the silver crystal looked like a jewel and it doubled as a ring that was removable. Wish I still had it. :( The 90's version is what I had!

Wow, this looks amazing! Just based on the level of craftsmanship, I'd almost consider this to be a piece of art, and definitely something to be displayed, rather than a toy, which the other two definitely were. Hopefully by the time I get some money raised these things will still be on sale.

Thank you for the review. I've been waiting for one but thought it too hard to do one myself without a camera mount so I could turn the bottom dial. I have one, too! But please be aware... mine seems to malfunction and won't even play 6 of the 8 sounds anymore after just 2 hours so I'm sending it back to Japan and getting a replacement. It worked perfectly for an hour but then soon after, it became defective and barely even plays the sounds and the silver crystal lights in red only. It's such a bummer! I hope your toy doesn't become defective, too.

I pre-ordered mine from jlist so it's currently in transit! I'm so excited! I can't wait for July when the second set of pointers and Luna pen get sent out! I got my set of pointers from PIJ for $112 when eBay now has them for $250 and up... And people ARE BUYING THEM!!! That seriously sucks. I have a different version than any of the 3 you have. It's closest to the 1st one since it has a crystal ring that pops out, but the ring isn't flat. (Makes two noises based on if the ring is in or out)

I'm not planning on getting this, but just in case I change my mind, I was wondering... Did Bandai ever correct the defects regarding this wand? The proplica should have the Sailor Moon 'presentation speech' music like the Sailor Moon World wand! The Proplica actually has the "Ai to segi no, sailor fuku bishoujo senshi" vocal part so it should have the background music for that part too!

Does your moon stick still works perfectly? Someone said that the problem with it are the wrong batteries but I'm using the same batteries you're using on the video, and I can't hear the monster part and sometimes I can't hear the whole sentence of Moon Healing Escalation, but just Moon... and then it suddenly stops :(

The wand seems to be defective, and you're not alone. Mine is defective as well, even after buying many different brands of the same battery. If the wand needs LR44 batteries, it shouldn't matter what brand. For $100, there should have been better product testing/design. It's not like we can return them at a local store either. I'm highly disappointed. Thumbs down for Bandai.

Do you know if they're gonna make the other wands?? Or brooches and lockets? I own the 1995 Bandai American one and though this is beautiful I just don't have the money to spend on it and would like to save my money if they make the other wands, especially the Eternal Tier but since no Stars merchandise has been made period I kinda doubt it'll get that far but I'd love the 3rd season wand :)
