I’m in the US and I’ve had my Fabricator a little over 2 years now and I love it. I do have a cylinder arm also but my go to is the Fabricator. I researched about 6 months before I settled on this machine and couldn’t be happier, great investment. It’s everything Adam said and more.

Adam, this is a really great video. I wanted to buy the portable machine but sadly couldn’t afford it. However, I still watch Sailrite videos because they are very educational.

Adam and Jo I am in the US and have watched their videos. They had a sale a few months ago and they also were offering many additional features, so I purchased the Ultrafeed LS 1(red one ) , portable table too, as I couldn't easily move an industrial..free shipping in the us I love it!

Thank you so much for this valuable feedback a year later. I very much hope to purchase a Fabricator someday. I felt this was the machine I want and I feel even more confident about this after seeing your update. You ticked all the boxes and answered all my questions.

Still on my purchase list. I have a LSZ and I love it. Sailrite customer service is amazing and they stand by their product. There is a video for everything. EVERYTHING. Good idea on a couple of bobbin casings with different tensions. I'll be doing that.

Great video. I also love my Fabricator. I will say I had a problem with my knee after using the lift feature. My husband rigged up a second foot pedal for me to use to lift so I no longer have to use my knee and this has made all the difference.

Thanks for the great video Adam. I'm in the USA in East Tennessee. I just purchased the Sailrite Fabricator Deluxe on their Black Friday sale for $1895 with free shipping. I used it this week to repair the front deck canvases on our 76' x 16' houseboat. This fix alone would have cost us about $1000. I have plans next summer for a new rear deck enclosures as well. Next on the agenda are 18 canvases for the rails on our wood decks at our homestead/mini-farm.The machine's payback on these types of projects; canvases, will be under one month for me. Then it's off to some upholstery work; a large outdoor sofa and ottoman, and probably some purses, raincoats, jackets, and a new quilt for the bed. If anyone is "hemming and hawing" about spending the money, price out what it would cost to buy your items from someone else. The machine is a workhorse with fabulous control in different speeds. The only one thing that I'm not thrilled with it the length of the knee arm that is used to raise up the sewing foot. It's too short for me because I like the table at the highest setting. I have to be on my toes to get it to work. I'm going to have my husband make another arm for me that is about 2" longer. You do beautiful bags! Thanks again for the video.

Last year I bought my first sewing machine. I got the LS1. Had I known how much I would enjoy using that machine I would have got the fabricator. The other thing is how much room it would take. I also do woodworking and metalwork, not a good environment for a sewing machine. Great channel, and you do awesome work.

Thanks for the video update. I recently purchased the Fabricator. When I was researching this machine there were not a lot of videos out there. I am still a bit intimidated by the machine and have only used it a handful of times. But I love it when I use it.

It can be imitating. I started with small projects and deliberately messed around with the tension and other settings. That way I can see what happens when it looks wrong and learn from the mistake.

Great video, nice to hear thoughts and opinions especially further down the line when you've had a good time to use it. It is a lovely looking machine, especially that table. I have a jack h2 which I love and it's quite nice looking for an industrial too..took a while to gets to grips with it though. I switch between my singer 201 and the jack . They make a nice combo . Will definitely be nice to see another tutorial with the fabrication. In an ideal world it would be good to have 2 video for each pattern. One for domestic users and one for industrials lol. Happy sewing 😊

Like the review and I love your bag patterns. I've had a Fabricator for a little over a year now and love it. I saw that you use the metal posi-pin and didn't talk about it in the video. I think the plastic shear pins are one of the more useless features of the machine and always tell others to get the metal one. I advise not wasting money on the plastic junk pins that break all the time. Also, I like your panel light. Any chance you can link where you bought it from? Thanks!
@CountryCowDesigns
@CountryCowDesigns Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I’ve never used the plastic pins. I’ve never found a need to. The light is a generic 20w led panel. There’s loads of them on Amazon.

Thank you for doing this very informative video. I have seen people complain that they couldn't fit all the layers under the foot of this machine when they were making bags. Have you ever had this issue? They instead sold their Fabricator machine and purchased a Juki Industrial machine. I was disappointed to hear this because I was going to order this machine today. I'm really conflicted now. 😐
@CountryCowDesigns
@CountryCowDesigns Жыл бұрын
I’ve never had any issues getting layers under the foot. The knee lift gives you 9/16 which is generous. Some people confuse the Fabricator with its smaller brother the ultrafeed which can’t manage a lot of layers.

Eek! What would you have done if it was faulty? I just couldn’t take that risk seeing as two machines I bought over the years arrived damaged and had to be replaced. I’m so glad for you that it was ok😅 my anxiety levels just wouldn’t be able to cope haha! It looks very cool and love all the different feet!

I know this vids a month old, but I had a thought on the light mount for you. Have you thought of mounting the small light onto the thread holder pole to get it up off the table? Clamp it on horizontally above the thread spools, which would have it come out over the machine and not occlude any parts of it.
@CountryCowDesigns
@CountryCowDesigns Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I don’t think the clamp will work on that part of the machine and the light wouldn’t reach over the machine to light up the sewing area.

Hi Adam, would a cylinder arm industrial machine be useful for bag making? Was that an option you considered?
@CountryCowDesigns
@CountryCowDesigns Жыл бұрын
It would be very useful especially if you plan to sew leather bags with very tight gussets. However they are generally much more expensive and aren’t always the best for lighter materials such as cotton.

I have an equipoise lamp on all of my industrial sewing machines and I clamp them to the machine bed over by the thread stand. They have a longer reach than the lamp you have. Import fees etc are really a kind of corruption aren't they? Well, in my mind at least.

I’m happy with the noise but it’s definitely not quiet. It’s got a powerful motor and large moving parts so I don’t think it can be avoided.
