I love your content, I love this game as it brings back many memories of sailing as a younger person something now denied to me by age and disability.. I would like to impart a little of my ages old IRL sailing knowledge, I hesitate a little was you are the sailwind expert and I am only just starting my journey, you do quite a lot of the time have your sails in almost the same angle as the wind which is very inefficient.. but do as you do because it works for you and if gives me a very relaxed sailing video to watch.. also your mizen sail is the reason for your occasional problems with speed of steering as it hangs out way beyond your rudder which essentially places your rudder amidships rather than at the Stern in terms of turning momentum.. please ignore this if I offend, as I said your expertise in this game is way more profound than mine.. ❤❤ the videos keep em rolling..

Glad you like the videos. Yeah, this set up is still kinda new to me, but I'm slowly learning how to handle it. Next time I have a similar build, I might for gor a "short gaff" for the mizum mast.

I always use the camera and mentally call it my cross nest.. don't let the buggers get you down Dalton they are small minded idiots who have so little in their own lives that they have to belittle others.. we love you❤.. 1 degree of latitude is 69 miles and 1 degree of longitude is 54½ miles. The earth is not a proper sphere it is longer than it is wide..

one square is about 86 miles wide. i once sailed from al'ankh to dragon cliffs and the total distance was 866 miles and it's 10 squares (--5 to 5)

I tried that and sailed for days and never reached it. I had a quadrant and I swear I was on the right heading but…. I am new to the game so I will keep it local until I get more experience.

Interesting, I saw it in last video and confirmed in this video. Smoke from stove follows the wind, good way to have an easily seen telltale during the night. Also, Smoking also cooks fish and pork. You can also smoke your cheese.

FYI, if you get your front and rear sails set just right, you shouldn't deviate much from your intended heading. if front sail is too strong, it'll push the front of the ship more westward.

The reason the browser stops when you minimise it is to allow those resources to be used by other processors, such as operating system and the game itself. It is an optimisation of most modern day OS's such as Windows and Linux.
