I have tried this song on guitar. I have played it fifty times or more. I have yet to play it the same way twice! You played it beautifully and even smiled. Are you keeping concentration by sight reading, muscle memory or what? My devil seems to be interfering thoughts.

Thank you for your kind words, Glenn! I totally understand- It's a tricky one and it does have many, many variations. My strategy for memorization is many, many, MANY repetitions... I start out slowly and gradually boost the speed. I do get distracted, too, and sometimes the tune comes out a little differently, but I try to just stay on course and not derail (which can be a challenge)! Wishing you the best in overcoming those devil thoughts... You can do it!

You should teach more tunes instead of just playing them. Having the notes to follow is good to have. Thanks. Good job showing how to play St Annes reel.

That's a great suggestion, Michael! I haven't tried teaching tunes yet, but I would be willing to give it a try. Are there any specific tunes you would like me to try teaching? I'm glad you enjoyed the notation on this video! :)
