Adam didn't like the direction 3dg was going, he didn't like the pressure the band placed on him and he didn't feel free in the music 3dg was creating, so he left on his own behalf. He left permanently and didn't want to get back. He started doing solo stuff with Rich Beddoe in 2013, ex drummer of Finger Eleven. The two of those later on were part of forming this band

And Jeff. Adam went to rehab in 2005. The stuff Adam got from rehab he used in the album One-X. The stuff to this album has a lot to do with his feelings regarding 3dg, his ex wife Naomi whom he divorced by this time too, and the new woman he met who he now is married to. If you check out the music video for Better Place it's actually his wife pulling him up from the edge... literally

I've been so out of touch with rock music since like 2018/2019 didn't even know Adam was still doing this. Was pleasantly surprised finding out the tickets for a show that my old lady's dad had picked up and wanted to take us to Saint Asonia was the opener for that show in Jacksonville FL. Adam's voice hasn't changed still sounds just as good as he always has. Someone please explain that sorcery. He's 45 years old and sounds just like he did back in his years with 3DG. I mean this is coming from someone who has been fortunate enough to see 3DG more times than I can count in multiple different states. I haven't listened to 3DG since Adam left and I'm glad to see that he's still doin' the damn thing and still manages to sound absolutely amazing live. How did I not know that Saint Asonia was still a thing? 🤷
