This is very interesting, i am glad that there is an anime like this, even if it's catholic.

Great video! Curious, does this look it's going to be the type of romance that builds up to a hand hold in the finale, or do you think the characters will actually have a relationship sometime before the finale?
@ChristianAnimePodcast Жыл бұрын
I'm aware the original manga was a 4 panel manga, also, the romance aspect of it seems introduced by whoever's writing the anime. With the context of the original source material, I think it's unlikely that there'll be any romantic relationship by the end of this season.

@@ChristianAnimePodcast After watching the anime, I looked on the wiki site for it, and accidentally got spoiled. The way they're described is that they're husband and wife, so I guess they get married at the end.

This is a little off topic but have you heard of My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999? I really enjoyed it, maybe because i would consider myself a gamer. Though even if your not into video games, you would probably still like it. Since there is a lot more to the anime than just gaming.

Unfortunately getting a bit busy and don't have a lot of time to watch extra anime other than what's on my watchlist. Though I did hear good thinks about Yamada-kun and might watch it at some point in the future.

Thanks for making this video. As a Christian, I was fine with this anime and I wanted to know what other Christians thought of this anime.

I would like to offer you a suggestion in the way that you present the gospel. Being condemned to Hell for our unrepentant sins is a clear teaching of Christianity. In the past Hell was spoken of often because those hearing about it would understand as to how they were raised. However, there is a problem. Because the modern world has been, in many cases, raised in an anti-Christian worldview, the majority of people have a terrible misconception of what Hell actually is and why people arrive there. I am not saying that Hell should not be mentioned, but rather that it requires educating which a one minute gospel message makes it difficult to do with. If mentioning Hell in a short gospel message, my suggestion would be to add a little nuance to better explain why people deserve it. People often think of Hell as a place God condemns people to and they see Him as a tyrant. In reality, Hell is a place where we go for obstinately rejecting God whom is Love itself. If love is rejected then nothing else can exist within us but hate. When you say that we are justly condemned for our sins within such a short message, it can give the false impression that we are not given many chances to turn to Him.

With all due respect, does this not promote the relationships between clergy members and laics? This goes against church doctrine and gives a wrong Impression to non believers, doesn't it?
@ChristianAnimePodcast Жыл бұрын
I am not Catholic and thus I think it is acceptable for church leadership to engage in relationships.
@maximivanov6612 Жыл бұрын
@@ChristianAnimePodcast Does this not however present the other denominations in a light they wouldn't want? The Catholics, Orthodox and other main denoms don't have much of an ability to make anime, so the Japanese people's views of them are painted by what protestants make. Literally look at the Castlevania anime made out of pure hatred for Catholics and how it effected young ppl. Is it not best if we search for an interdenominational anime instead of the Prots abusing their influence?
@ChristianAnimePodcast Жыл бұрын
@@maximivanov6612 Well sorry but I think the way you fix this is by getting more Catholics in the media industry. And I am pretty transparent about my Protestant biases too, so unfortunately, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

@@ChristianAnimePodcast It's not as easy "be more into the media" because of the current pope who isn't very enthusiastic about that stuff. An already bad reputation and the not wanting to expand means we are entirely at your mercy, and your channel also seemed as a beacon of hope in regards to Christian anime being the talking point, but this has made me feel bad about it. Finally, saying "hier stehe ich" doesn't fix anything
