When I began to overcome lack consciousness I used this prayer and it changed my life. When I noticed fear and worry thoughts I would say God I put my fears and worries down. YES, exactly...when you see the positive, even in darkness, it gives you such immense freedom and personal sovereignty! Touched on this before, but for those who get super-sensitive about the 'it's happening FOR you, not TO you' (especially in legit trauma situations), I think it's important to ACKNOWLEDGE both (to and for) for obvious reasons. Using abuse as a general example, you could acknowledge that it happened TO you (because someone else inflicted pain, damage, etc), while also becoming aware that it happened FOR you (because of that abuse, maybe you sought counseling, which moved you into a space where you could recognize patterns, make healthier choices, build self esteem, etc).
