Behind the Louvre Museum, there is a lovely church tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. Built between the 12th and 15th centuries, it features a five-aperture porch in the Flamboyant Gothic style, a Renaissance-style portal, and a Romanesque bell.
Inside the church, one can see numerous valuable works of art and artifacts, including a 16th century Flemish altarpiece, old stained glass windows, and a beautiful Egyptian statue of St. Mary. The bell that signaled the start of the tragic events of the religious wars can also be found here.
