Eventhough I just ranted about Chanel, I think this piece is really beautiful - but the price difference 🤯. Chanel is just not worth it for me anymore 🙈 so I would go for the YSL one!

It would work well in the clutch. The one without the flap is nice too if you aren’t carrying many bills.

The YSL reminds me of the LV recto verso, which I own. I would prefer the recto verso because the coin compartment has a wider opening because the zipper extends down the side and there is a gusset. The Chanel is so beautiful, I had it in a beige iridescent calfskin which I am selling back to Fashionphile because I find the leather too delicate, and I don't prefer the way it's organized with a big compartment and basically one card slot -- doesn't work for me as a wallet. And for holding stacks of cards and misc papers I much prefer the Chanel small o-case in caviar leather. Great comparison!!

I think the iridescent caviar is more delicate than the regular caviar. The caviar on my Chanel cosmetic pouch seems different than that in other items, it has a sheen and it feels very delicate. I like the envelope style. Definitely the Rectoverso is more user friendly! I’m still waiting for my O Case! I’m tempted to get one before No buy February, but I’m going to resist!

Yes, the Chanel is more spacious. You can put some bills in it as well as cards and it still stays compact.

Thank you! YSL has this cardholder in more colors this season. There are two new shades that I love, so I might add another of these! If you are thinking about this, try to get one soon, because YSL prices have gone up and they won’t take coupons any more. 😕
