I was aboard USS Joseph Strauss DDG-16 in 1970 right next to USS Saint Paul on the gunline off the coast of South Vietnam. Both ships were firing shells! Saint Paul had 8" guns. Strauss had 5" guns but had missiles and AZROC. A shipmate and I toured Saint Paul when both ships were in port. One of my best memories of my time in the Navy and two West-Pac tours that included most of the time off the coast of South Vietnam.

Sad that our government cares so little about our military and what it has done and sacrificed so much for.

Very nice tribute! Too bad they kept using the term battlecruiser, except once, when they used the correct term " heavy cruiser," in describing the USS St. Paul. Battlecruisers were a totally different type of ship.
