Dude you nailed it. The hardest part for some animes is putting the right scene to fit the music. 1:15-1:20 " I need your help, I can't fight this forever". You could feel it. Regardless of the previous scene playing some of it off for laughs.

The Emperor's coven seems shockingly weak overall, and the fact that nobody in the coven shows their face aside from Lilith makes me really suspicious about it. They're supposed to be these elite mages who use all forms of magic, yet we really only see them using kinda basic weapons and spells that any Hexide student can do. I don't think that the witches accepted in to the Emperor's coven are the same people who wear the masks, or if they are, I don't think they're in full control of their bodies. The Emperor's Coven feels like its some sort of trap to lure and neutralize the most powerful witches in the world, because they sure as heck don't seem to be the strongest witches in the world serving the Emperor. I'd say Bump, Willow, Amity, Luz, and even Boscha are stronger than what we've seen from any Emperor's coven soldier so far aside from Lilith.
