Happy to be a paid Stevereads subscriber. Well worth the fiver, and considering all the free bookish content you've given us, a bargain.

I second Steve's recommendation of writing for Open Letters! You'll not only enjoy the writing process, your review will probably get noticed in the industry, and there's no feeling quite like that.

I third that sentiment! I have had the pleasure of getting a couple of my own reviews onto Open Letters in recent months!

Good to see you smiling and, of course, Frieda. Thanks for including all your links. I enjoy reading your writing and it inspires my lazy hand. BTW Are you and Jeff still doing CPL Radio Books of the Week?

Going to try out Blue Sky. Your vision for it is quite enticing

Facebook is dying with people our age, Steve. Played out. Us 20s and 30s like you and me.

People have been saying that for 10 years.

Now if only we could get your financial advisor to follow his own advice! Resurrect the BookTube channel and give us weekly, if not daily, Substack posts!

Great vid as always Steve!

As a year-end gift to myself, I shall subscribe to your substack. Also, a very small way to say thank YOU for all the information and wisdom you've shared with your loyal following over the years!

I love the fiction you’ve been sharing on your Substack. Would you consider self publishing your fiction in its complete form? I would buy it. There is no doubt you are a good writer.
@saintdonoghueАй бұрын
Very nice of you to say - I think the obvious starting point for published longer fiction works would be "Troy War," but all that is for the new year

Ember of the hands looks an interesting read. BTW Barraclough is pronounced ‘Barracluff’ (one of those weird English idiosyncrasies)

Lol let me see if that work is cited somewhere in Runciman. 😂
