Today on the feast day of November 13, I am watching this in commemoration of my college professor named Sister Francis Cabrini. She too embodied the Holy Spirit of God. Due to her guidance and care I have a wonderful career!

I I'm not good in English but what I want to tell you that saint Rita is the real saint and I received her Ring through the dream but not herself brought it me but was Jesus because when I was going to open the gift they've brought for me I saw Jesus walking within the group people when I saw him I wake up while shouting with a loud saint Rita and I sat down and thinking about who's st Rita I know her in the name but I never say any prayer for her but since by then now it is my favorite prayer because Jesus showed me her in the dream and in my mind I know I have a ring of St Rita even though I don't have on my finger St Rita pray for us we're your children Amen

The movie entitled CABRINI does NOT do justice to this great Christ-centered missionary! No rosary. No mention of Our Lord Jesus Christ. No Mass; no chapel; one brief grace. A very antiseptic, feminist version of this saint’s life!

I was stunned at the lack of God. She mentioned God 2x or so. What upset me was when she said we can't depend on anyone but ourselves. She couldn't do anything without Jesus. He was everything for her. I understand not making it too religious but this was disturbing at the lack of it. A few scenes even quickly would have changed the emphasis in a subtle way and created the right tone.

I attended Mother Cabrini High School in Manhattan for four years. Her current shrine was built during my junior year and completed in my senior year. They moved her body from the small chapel in the school itself to the shrine one beautiful, sunny day, with great ceremony, as befitting the occasion. I was taught by two nuns who came from Brooklyn and knew Mother Cabrini. I had a great educational experience, and remain so impressed with the nuns who followed in Saint Cabrini’s footsteps. I saw the movie and completely understand those who found the story lacking in religious overtones. There weren’t many. She was a nun who founded her own religious order. Her entire life was a testimony to Christ. She embodied His spirit, His courage and His work among the poor and downtrodden. She was a missionary who came to the United States to change people’s lives, both the rich and famous, and the poorest of the poor. She did Christ’s work, year in and year out, and that speaks volumes about her commitment to God. This movie didn’t need the rosary, or mass, or other religious symbols for us to know that her work and its success were based on her deep and abiding love of Christ. And, it was meant to be a commercial success and it is. Many more people will be exposed to her life and love of God, than would have been if it had been overly religious. She is now remembered for the miraculous work that helped so many.

@@maureenmckenna5220There is NO doubt about the saintly life of Mother Cabrini. My main complaint about this feminist-centered movie was that the script DELIBERATELY censured any and all references to Christ! (If you disagree, kindly tell me WHERE in the movie she preaches / teaches / mentions Jesus Christ.) HOW are the non-Catholics / non-Christians who know nothing about this Christ-focused woman supposed to know all the things you've discussed? I maintain that their ignorance has NOT been duly informed by the movie. How are non-Christians supposed to recognize the "miraculous" aspect of her work? If you believe otherwise, I challenge you to interrogate people who have ONLY seen the movie, and who won't bother to learn more!

@@elizabethhonaker4855 Just be glad that they put their money where their mouth is and made a touching and inspirational movie about a Catholic nun and saint. The Catholics who believe and venerate her will do so in spite of the lack of religious overtones. Those who are not Catholic will get to view a Catholic nun’s life, her triumphs and difficulties, and will take from it what they will. That they actually made such a movie is far reaching in and of itself. That the reviews have been wonderful will bring more people in to see it. They wanted two things, to bring her story to the public, and to try and have as large an audience as possible see it. Is it lacking in showing what her deep devotion and commitment to Christ was? Most people think so, as do I. That is overridden by the overarching success of her story, lacking or otherwise. There is no need to challenge anyone to justify how they feel, one way or the other. They will feel as they do. And, there is no right or wrong here. Should they have shown the more religious side of her life? Could be, but the very pleasing part of this whole thing is that we have before us Cabrini’s story, and can speak about the religious aspect at all. It might never have been made, but it was, flaws and all. Better a successful movie of her life, than none at all.

What a tragic disappointed. This cold static depiction of Mother Cabrini’s life was more liking to a feminist take on women’s lib. No need for God, prayer, never Jesus mention, or sign of the cross, rosary prayed or hanging from her waist. No Holy Mass, or blessed Sacrament. No one ever believed this ill frail woman could accomplish all she did and live to be 68 on her own grit without the powerful hand of God. The most disappointed person to see this movie was not us all but Mother Cabrini herself. I’m sure she cried! What a waist. The producers missed the most perfect opportunity to show the world what length the power of Jesus will do when his deeply faithful Catholic servant says “yes” ! God bless you Mother, and shame on you Leo, Jonathan, and Edwardo.

We cannot be so critical…if anyone has Faith in God Almighty knows that all the miracles that were granted to Mother Cabrini speak for themselves! Absolutely nothing would have been accomplished with out God’s approval 💯. We automatically know how Faith works. ✝️
