Saints-Commanders Preview: Jake Haener or Spencer Rattler? Will it Even Matter?

I think we are going to get a preview of the Super Bowl Sunday. Bills vs Lions I live in Orchard Park. I can't imagine how crazy it would be if the Bills could pull it off. They remind me of Saints fans, with the exact opposite weather. Four consecutive Superbowls and nothing to show for it, and they lost the first one, because of a missed field goal.

If I had to rank the teams in terms of the team I expect to come out of the AFC it'd be 1. Ravens, 2. Bills, 3. Chiefs.

Cesar hasn't had his best season, but he's still a quality starting guard. I expect that group to play better this week with some continuity. I still think the Saints should be prioritizing the OL in drafts, regardless. I want young players that are legitimately pushing to start and this Saints team doesn't have that at most of their key positions.

This week or down the line? There's really not a ton you can change in-season. It'll depend on whatever DC they bring in, but changing schemes ... say 4-3 to 3-4 is tough because you've got to turn over a lot of the roster to accommodate new roles. Saints don't really have a true nose tackle (they could draft one). They don't really have DEs that would be suited at outside linebackers. Ultimately it'll depend on whether you really like a DC candidate that wants to shift schemes and give him multiple seasons to implement that.

I'm a huge fan and proud to be part of whodat nation. But I am a realist. I don't see us improving for at least 2 or 3 years. And only if we have great drafts. Usually if we struggle I still had hope for this team for next year. It's not just Carr's fault but ever since he was signed I've not had a lot of confidence in this team. Our defense used to be a strength. Now we have literally the worst run defense in the league. We have a mediorcre qb at best who can't stay healthy----and why did he make that idiot play last week? I think he was trying to dispel a lot of Carr hate from fans? who knoows.----we have two receivers, our top 2 who are glass cannons and unable to play half a season---Taysom--another glass cannon...in short where are the players on this team other than an aging HOF RB AK ...now we have giant questions on OL? PLUS A GM who is unfireable and is so clueless he thinks we're a legitamate contender....God help the whodat nation..i rest my case

ADMIT IT WHO DATS, when Taysom is out, we are a below average team. He can't be replaced, but a player stepping up in a similar role only has to be efficient in ONE aspect of the game. I'll be frank, I'm not 100% behind Rizzi as a HC or, Kubiak as OC.

any given Sunday is thrown out the window this week lol we have zero chance of even making this game close even if we had a Joe Montana on this roster. QB controversy? joke time...both of these young QBs suck to put it mildly. Our OL sucks. Our best players other than Kamara on IR and AK missed another day with illness. Not even worth thinking about much less talking about it. Granted they've not had a full complement of starting players in their previous games but that doesn't change this week either... I hope the phrase "still alive" ends soon, plz for the love of everything holy, I'm confident you guys know it's been over for a few weeks now. Granted if we could have won a couple of those close games things may be different..I had high hopes for this season and I still hope we win out.. Last week I expected us to blow out the Giants but instead it took a great play by a DT to block a FG to win a game we should have lost. Wash. has a bye week to prepare for this game. It's going to be worse than our game against the Rams last year in LA ..so no we're not still alive and haven't been in reality since 8 weeks ago truthfully.

It'll be a competitive game, y'all have just built up an 8-5 team in your mind to be some kind of juggernaut bc you're down on the Saints.
