Let's not act like Mickey wasn't considered a cap genius during his time with SP. Like everyone else, he has his strengths and weaknesses. Right now, he's tasked with deconstructing this roster. They tried to compete with the roster left by SP and DB which in all honesty I don't blame them because it was a very talented one. It just didn't work because it was still tailored to SP and DB. I think that's what Loomis meant when he said "look behind the results" yeah we're losing games, but each loss better positions us for the future. Just my opinion.

Really the perfect situation now. Lose out or come close. Gut the roster. Draft a top QB (preferably Shedeur). Let him sit behind Carr a yr or 2, however many is left on his contract. Build a foundation to fit Shedeur during those yrs.

Saints fan here , unless we draft sanders at 1 or 2 or a top DE, I would simply just trade back a few spots To get more picks and grab Travis hunter . Love all time saints greats Davis and Jordan but it’s time for them to go . We need younger talent as many picks we can get especially in those 2-4 rounds

Nah don't cut him. Draft a QB high and let him sit behind Carr for the rest of his contract. We gotta embrace the grind at this point. No quick fixes. We didn't get in this position over night, so we shouldn't expect to fix it over night. Let's build something that will last.

It makes a ton of sense that she pulled the plug early. If Dennis stayed, there was a risk that you lose the locker room. As it is, players were not bought in. Nick Underhill said that players began mocking DA because he would always say the same thing “Keep chopping wood” but results would never change. It’s a new era in NOLA, good riddance to the Sean Payton Era
