I agree with what you are saying, but maybe it's a misnomer. Sometimes you need to expand the boundaries of the music you enjoy and what you expect of it. It's easy determine "typical pop garbage", but maybe certain elements of that music has something the artists presenting it to you use a cadence that resonates strongly. Just enjoy what you like!!
