Urdu speaking people in Bangladesh have been given citizenship and voting rights. Because Bangladesh is a liberal, secular, socialist, democratic republic. We believe in equality, every person who is eligible to become a bangladeshi will be Bangladeshi no matter what is his race, ethnicity, religion. We are a diverse nation. We have 98% bengalis, 2% indigenous, 89% muslims, 9% hindus, 2% other people. But after all of these we are 100% bangladeshi. Every one of us are proud Bangladeshis. We share same feelings, rights, soil, blood. We are Bangladeshis. I think if Pakistan want to provide equal rights to it's people and become a liberal country it should give citizenship to it’s bengali community.

I had opportunity to research and produce many documents on the subject of statelessness in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Pakistan lost the war she didn't need to fight. To most conflicts there is a winner and a loser nothing new about that. But nations can and often act honorably in either circumstance. Pakistan acted most dishonorably under the leadership of Z. A. Bhutto, a Sindhi. Knowing all that he knew about the after math of the war, the devotion of the Urdu-speaking to Pakistan and their genocide in Bangladesh, he turned around and stabbed in the back. The spirit of his decisions continues to this day in every action and omission of the province of Sindh. The industrial nationalization program, national identification card later the CNIC, the local bodies act of Sindh, division of power and authority between provincial and local governments are all designed to drive non-Sindhi minorities out of existence if possible. At least starve them of opportunities of any type, disenfranchise them politically, and strangulate them economically. This has been further solidified by the 18th amendment of the constitution. A virtual Apartheid prevails in Sindh. See how comfortably the minister proposes to give an identity card to the disenfranchised without the voting rights? The effected are so desperate in their struggle for survival they probably would agree to such a proposal but it speaks volumes about the mindset of Sindh's current leadership.

Some Bengalis who stayed back in India 1971 was given citizenship . India also recently gave alteast 10,000 Bengalis citizenship after mutual exchange of enclosures with Bangladesh.

I was under the impression that Islam is a compassionate, humane and enlightened faith, where all brother muslims were treated honourably and fairly, compared to us bigoted and racist Hindus, who practice apartheid in the name of caste. At the time of partition a huge number of Bagolies like to stay in Pakistan ,When Most of Bangalies migrated to Bangladesh but they chose Pakistan as their country because their ancestors fought for Pakistan not for Bangladesh . They still love Pakistan. that's why they are more loyal to Pakistan. They are respect full to us. They were stand for unity not for partition. But now they are punished just because they supported Pakistan. This is not fear what, we are doing with them. They are more loyal to Pakistan. They have more rights than us.
