this game truly deserves a port so xbox 360 ps3 generation, with online gaming much more of a thing then it was back when this was out especially for western audiences. Would be beautiful

The Japanese version is back online btw. Thanks to obsrv, a fan project to restore the servers. Unfortunately, it's only the japanese version since no packet traces exist for the US and EU versions.

The problem is that it wouldn't support online if they just did that unless they completely rewrote the net code. As you should know, capcom is too lazy for that sort of thing.

I still have a fully working PS2 and file 1&2 of this game, I could get on right this moment and still play it! Not online, but I could still play the game. I'm no master, but on most scenarios Very Hard is not an issue. I really miss playing this game a lot, so I might go back to it!!

I really wish they would port this to current/future consoles. I never got a chance to play this online, and offline is way harder than it should be. :(
