Also it's easier to hear the difference if you know the pitch accent. 病院 is heiban or flat whereas 美容院 is nakadaka and drops after the 2nd mora (yo).

Many words have quite similar pronunciation but have different meanings such as 橋 bridge and 箸 chopsticks (same pronunciation はし) or いっぱい can be 一杯 (a cup of) or full of

I like these type of vlogs, it's so comfy and refreshing to watch 🥰
I just found this channel today and I'm so happy because this is exactly what I wish I had 5 years ago when I went to Japan. This is really important to learn and you can't find this in textbooks. Thank you so much for doing this!!! I will recommend this channel to my friends too!!

I'm still learning the sentence patterns in the Minna no Nihongo book, and some of the sentence patterns are in your video. あかねさん、どうもありがとう!

I really like this kind of format with Japanese subtitles. I can’t understand everything but sometimes I recognise a kanji and can guess the meaning of the word in Japanese. Anyway I really enjoy your video thank you so much !

Japanese beauty salons look so nice! I usually don't like having my hair cut in a salon because the stylists are chatty (I'm the opposite of chatty), and one stylist actually managed to undo my hoop earring with her scissors 😒. But that might be because I went to a budget-friendly chain of salons. I think the next time I need my hair cut for a special occasion, I'll go somewhere fancier! 😅
You make videos that are absolutely high quality for someone crawling their way out of being a beginner! Do you have any recommendations for other channels at or around your level or higher? Thank you in advance!!
