King Vegeta became just a king because he freed the Sayines from the Thufs (the race who lived on planet Vegeta before the Sayin arrived) there are two story’s. The first one was that the Thufs where keeping the Sayins as slaves and the revolution was justified but The others story said that the Sayien wanted more No matter the reason. King Vegeta was a Genius he was as smart a Thuf ( there where master Engineers and Scientist) he created battle tactics and some gadgets
