It;s such a beautiful opening song, especially with the sun motif in Gaiden. It's so different from other Saiyuki themes but it fits, because Gaiden is so sad. Just on the translation of the song, this section: hikari kagayaku kono basho de itsuka mata yume o katarou sakura no shita Should it not be "In this place where the light shimmers, let us, one day, speak of dreams once more, beneath the sakura (blooms/tree)"? It just seems to me that if the place was telling of something it would be wa rather than de? That and the verb 'katarou' looks to be making a suggestion to talk/discuss, which makes me think it refers to people rather than location in this case. Wanted to raise it because it's such a pretty line...and because the series is about bonds, it makes sense for the lyrics to be as well.

***** I was just saying because I saw the Dramatical Murder opening, then went to go watch it.... Then I realized I shouldve known better cause it was nothing but guys in the opening an like only 2 girls

It's shonen with some slight yaoi especially in the early parts of the story because this manga was originally created for women, but it gets more shonen and the yaoi is almost gone as the plot progresses. Saiyuki Gaiden > Saiyuki Ibun > Saiyuki > Saiyuki Reload > Saiyuki Reload Blast There's also a one shot between Reload and Reload Blast that sort of reveals something about Goku, him being a "master" or something.

+TheAgito42 OMG THERE IS NO YAOI at all! in fact most of the characters are homophobic lol the only reason ppl question yaoi is because the female author of this manga would slightly suggest bl moments for fan service purposes only. do you guys know what bromance is? thats the best way to describe the relationships in this anime. fan girls ruin everything lol

Luv Li Sorry about that. Confused Yaoi for Shoujo instead. Saiyuki is 3/4 Shoujo and 1/4 Shonen but the Shonen moments make up for it. TY for the correction. LOL!
