We all know Aneerood Jugnauth quite well. You need to also mention the 2 assassination attempts of which he was victim in the late 1980s by a guy called Semboo and someone else. He also prevented the ascent of communism and facism in Mauritius which had already gripped Seychelles in the 1980s. But not many of us remember his older cousin Lall Jugnauth who died in August 1970 after serving in Parliament since 1967 as IFB member of Legislative Assembly for No.5 Triolet. This triggered partial elections.
