This song feels like it's about healing and moving on. Based on Sajjan bhai's songs in the recent past, starting with the song 'Ulta Paila', the character that he sings about has been going through an emotional turmoil. In 'Ulta Paila', a situation arose in the life of this character that led to him getting separated from his loved one. The next song 'Parkhaai' gave us a glimpse further into the character's state of mind. He seems to be hopeful that they might be reunited one day and he is waiting for that moment. But the next song in the series 'Naganya Maya' told us that she found someone and has moved on with her life. He is alone and in anguish. But he still can't seem to let go of her. However, the next song 'Sasto Mutu' told us that he has had enough with gloating over her. He might have been blaming himself for this separation until now, but in this song he essentially says, "Screw her, she doesn't deserve me. I deserve better." And now, this song 'Ek Sarvanaam' comes out and essentially says, "You know what, I am moving on too. The Sarvanaam (pronoun) 'Hami' that used to describe you and me will now describe me and this new person that I met. The video essentially starts with him alone drinking his night away looking into the darkness of the night. This darkness has been a constant in his life for the past year. But then this particular night his eyes meet the eyes of a girl and they seem to be interested in each other. The next visuals of the girl dancing signifies that she is someone interesting. We already have been following the character ark of this character since 'Ulta Paila' to know that he is not new to love. His demeanor in this video tells us that he still believes in love but he is tired of running after it. It is now up to the new girl to set an impression up on him for him to want to pursue her. As the video continues we get to see that they are getting to know each other over a coffee date. She is slowly moving in to his heart. However, when he is alone by himself, he is still surrounded by the darkness that has been in his life for the past year or so. But every time he meets this girl, she brings color and light to him. And at 1:53 we see that she has entered his heart. The endless silk thread that comes out of his pocket tells us that his heart is being filled up with her memories. At that moment, when he realizes that she has overtaken his heart and his thoughts, he lets go of the darkness of his past and gets pulled in towards her. He gets entangled with her and starts to dance to her music. At 2:45 the voice of Prem Dhoj Pradhan comes in as the visuals show that they are getting further entangled together. Why is this important for the purpose of this video? It signifies that love is love, no matter what generation is experiencing it. Now, he is smiling more often. He is enjoying her company. Instead of the girl dancing by just herself and he observing her, they start to dance together. They are comfortable with each other. At 3:26 we see that he is not just dancing to her rhythm, he is introducing his own as well. And they seem to enjoy letting go of themselves to each others beat. Two individuals 'he' and 'she' become Ek Sarvanaam.. one pronoun, "We"
