Italian crossings shouldn’t hold down for so long, they should be more like this crossing. Hold down for at most 2 minutes and ring the bell throughout, would convey to people that the crossing arms won’t be down for long.

This half barrier crossing will be removed soon. Trains go by at reduced speed. A conversion to full barriers has already been done in another crossing in a different line.

well pointed Alex, i saw from Justus that he did film a crossing similar to this one that was on its last day of operation, a few days later it had already been fully replaced. i think it was also in Ravenna though so im not sure if we are refering to the same one
