The resurrection of the PeopleMover (in Anaheim) is in a near future budget. Insider information. Shhh, don't tell anyone I told you. I'm very, very excited about this! Wouldn’t be surprised if these music tracks were originally from the Seeburg industrial series background music records from the mid to late 70’s since Seeburg specifically made background music records for stores, restaurants, office and work spaces. Virtually all Seeburg industrial series background music records from the mid to late 70’s were all destroyed by Seeburg so they wouldn’t be in the hands of the public and simply wanted businesses to return their old records for new ones every so often to make some profit. Since Seeburg went out of business in 1980, all remaining Seeburg background music records are now a public domain since Seeburg can’t claim copyright on those records since they are no longer around. Went off the tracks slightly but thought I’d point that out since Seeburg made background music similar to this.

I hope that the PeopleMover will not only reopen, but will expand. It was never an "E-ticket" ride, nor was it a thrill ride, but its purpose was as a transport vehicle. The design is such that it starts and end in only one location. So, could they not extend the PeopleMover to include multiple stops ? Say you get on in Tomorrowland, ride it for 5 minutes, disembark in ToonTown, then onto New Orleans Square, and then 3 stops in California Adventure. And while they're at it, why not extend the Monorail so it goes to the Disney parking lots. Guests can pay for admission at the parking lot, board the Monorail, and then get out in Disneyland. Both attractions were meant to showcase alternative methods of transport, so by expanding them, Disney could show how practical they may be. My 2 cents.
@sak4aak9 жыл бұрын
Rusty Shackleford Unfortunately, despite what others have said, the ride won't be coming back. Apparently, any new ride would require significant changes to be made to the track infrastructure, including widening the tunnels that go through the current show buildings and making it ADA compliant. I sincerely hope that the figure out something or finally rip it out and end the speculation.
@goldenpacificmedia8 жыл бұрын
+Rusty Shackleford I'd love to see the Disney people redo Disneyland's People Mover attraction to launch people from the original platform in Tomorrowland into Star Wars land. The park would be able to help with ingress and egress of people to / from Star Wars land by taking the existing track from the back side of the Autopia and past the back of Small World into the Star Wars theme area.
@DannyD7148 жыл бұрын
unfortunately the disney of today has lost touch with walt's original concept of a multi level land on the move. they grounded the rocket jets (astro orbiter) and you even have to hike to ride the monorail and space mountain. no more moving sidewalks. there's no feeling of oneness within tomorrowland. it's a miss match of movie based rides. sad to say,they've given up on the idea of there being a "great big beautiful tomorrow".

And please, don’t have some executive box head try to “improve” the old one! That’s how all this mess started. If they could build the original Peoplemover for the N.Y.World fair and AGAIN for Disneyland 1967, THEY CAN do it again. It’s just the DECISION to do so stopping it from happening. I’ll PAY to go back to Disneyland for the Peoplemover, but NOT Pixar stuff. Sorry, but NO!

People like me want nostalgia. NEWER is not always better. Wish they would bring back Bear Country Jamboree as well :-)

Yep, I just had not updated the tracklisting in the comments. That's been fixed now, thanks for the info.
